Rolled Roses Thank You Card

Hello everyone! I was inspired by May Park’s rolled felt flowers using our Flower Circles Die to make my card for today. I used patterned paper instead of felt and thought I should share a few tricks I’ve learned for conditioning paper to make it easier to roll. 1. Choose a few patterned paper you like. Diecut with the biggest scalloped circle die from Flower Circles Die. 2. Slice the scalloped circle diecut open and use the end of a paint brush to shape it into a spiral shape. We call this “conditioning the paper”. 3. Wrap the conditioned paper on your finger tip to help shape it into a flower. 4. Lay the rolled flower loose on your table and glue the loose end to the body. 5. Use the end of a paint brush again to roll the tips of the petals out for a more realistic look. 6. Apply liquid glue […]

Quick and Easy Holiday Cards with Flower Circles Die

Hello everyone! Popped in to share a quick and easy way to use our Flower Circles Die for a Christmas card with a fun twist. We will start with a regular A2 cardbase made from a piece of green cardstock and a 4″x4″ piece of pink cardstock. Diecut the biggest scallop circle in Flower Circles Die from the cardbase. Use foam adhesive to mount the pink backing card on the back of the scalloped opening. Add foam adhesive to the circle diecut, using the scalloped circle as a guide, adhere the circle to the center of the window. Add a dot of glue to the pointed ends of the scalloped window. Adhere the scalloped diecut to the window. Stamp the sentiment from Holiday Labels – Merry Stamp Set with white ink on some pink cardstock. Diecut with our Holiday Label 1 Die and adhere to the card front. The color combo can be easily changed to your […]

DIY Halloween Pencil Toppers

Hello everyone! I’m very excited to share today’s project with you! Since Waffle Flower does not have any Halloween designs this year, I haven’t been able to make anything for Halloween except some cards until… yesterday! I was so happy to receive the invitation from Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores to participate in their new campaign: #DIY4Halloween – a perfect opportunity to DIY for, isn’t it?! I went to my local Jo-Ann with the coupons on my phone (did you get the mobile apps? so convenient!). I spent a couple of hours browsing the fun collections, dreaming of the possibilities and brought home the supplies for my Halloween Pencil Toppers! Supplies I will try to link to joann.com where you can order some of the supplies online. But since it is close to Halloween, you probably need to go to the store to get your supplies. – Styrofoam Balls (There are many sizes, I picked the Floracraft 2-1/2″ Styrofoam Balls – 6PK/White.) A Simple Thank You Card & the Winners!

Hello everyone! Popped in to share a card I made last night and to announce the winners of our Instagram Thank You Giveaway. I was browsing our store and thought that I should make a real sample from our idea sheets. And I picked the very first one that came up: the idea sheet for 100% Love Stamp Set. This is a fun little 2″x3″ set that can add a lot to our projects! I pulled out the set as well as the Surface – Tag Stamp Set that has the solid mini tag image to pick some colors. I catalog all my ink colors on a 1 page color chart. I have multiple charts for each brand but you can also download a blank page for your own ink collection here: Download a blank hand color chart here. I first stamped the thank you circle on a piece of sticky […]

A Freestyle Collage Card with Random Favorites & A Winner!

Hello everyone! This week, Waffle Flower Crafts is sponsoring the Runway Inspired Challenge. It is a card making challenge that takes inspiration from the latest runway trends. I used to be on the team and can’t help but join the fun again! Here is the inspiration photo for this week: Lots of interesting things going on in there! I thought it would be fun to try stamping many different icons randomly on a card so I went play! And here is what I ended up with. It is very different from my usual style but I had a blast making it! It is full of my favorites from our own stamp collection. I wasn’t sure about using the colors in the inspiration photo on a card so I looked for inspiration on my desk. The enamel dots and markers were on my table so I went with them. I first used our “Shoot for […]
