Hello everyone! I’m very excited to introduce a new stamp set with two dies in my Simply Tags series for Avery Elle – Simply Tags: Christmas! I have divided my projects into 5 days. If there is a specific project that you are interested in a How-to, just let me know by leaving a comment here or on my Facebook page.
Simply Tags: Christmas – Day 1 – Introduction <– You’re Here!
Simply Tags: Christmas – Day 2 – Mix & Match (Tags, food wrap and a card)
Simply Tags: Christmas – Day 3 – Bits & Pieces (Using the small parts and a confetti look)
Simply Tags: Christmas – Day 4 – The Basic Badge Star Look (Step Photos)
Simply Tags: Christmas – Day 5 – Inks & Color Combos (Free download)
If Simply Tags: Everyday was all about back to basics and achieving great results with quick and simple stamping, then Simply Tags: Christmas is all about color and pure stamping/die-cutting fun! This time, we have two coordinating die sets!
1. Simply Tags: Christmas Stamp Set
Simply Tags: Christmas Stamp Set ($15) has three focal images: a star, a bow and a badge. You can use one on its own or use them together for Christmas, Birthdays and All Occasions!
All inks used are linked below.
2. Simply Tags: Christmas Ornament Tag Die
The Ornament Die Set ($15) includes a circle tag, three tag hole reinforcers, an ornament cap and three nesting stars, which can be used on its own without the stamp set:
The biggest star in this set coordinates with the star in the stamp set. Here I stamped the star with gold ink and capped the circle tag with the ornament cap die to create a simple ornament tag.
Also, with the help of the stamp set, you can customize the hole reinforcers:
3. Simply Tags: Christmas Bow Die
Simply Tags: Christmas Bow Die Set ($11) includes the coordinating dies for the bow, the badge and the twine bow. To get more bang for your buck, we included three extra heart shapes. This set works the best when used with the stamp set. It was used on every one of my projects for today. Coordinating dies are good for our hands (no fussy cutting) and save us our precious time. The twine bow die in this set also turned out to be my favorite in this release. You will see it used many times in the next few days. :)
A Card Example
To put things in perspective, I have a card to share. The card base measures 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ (fits in a regular A2 envelop). The circle and the big star were die cut from patterned paper; the small star was stamped then die cut, using Ornament Tag Die Set; the sentiment and badge were stamped and then die cut with the Bow Die Set.
I used foam dots for added dimension but this design also looks great without them – to mail the card flat. The stamp set is designed to provide a fun and playful focal with no more than 3 layers of paper.
I hope that you enjoyed today’s post and will come back for more tomorrow. I have more examples showing the possibilities of this set as well as the new set in my Texture Tiles series – Texture Tiles: Be Cute Stamp Set ($8)!
Before I go, I would like to thank everyone for your encouragement and support during my first release. I’ve added some projects that have caught my eyes to the Designer Gallery. Special thanks to those of you who have linked up your projects there. As promised, the designer to receive my entire new release is:
Lorena Cantó Lavería
Thank you, Lorena, for sharing your talents with us! You ROCK! (I’ve already contacted Lorena and found out that she lives in Bolivia! Isn’t it amazing how this hobby has brought us all together?! Life is good!) I’m so glad that Lorena is willing to play with the new stamps and dies! I know that she will whip up something awesome for us!
I’m planning on a small blog hop in November with more chances to win this release. So stay tuned~~ Happy Crafting!
