Build a Scene with Stamps & Patterned Paper

Hello everyone! Just a kind reminder that we are taking some time off this week. All orders placed between now and Spetember 2 will start shipping on September 3. I made today’s card for Waffle Flower Challenge – Build A Scene! I discovered cardmaking when I was looking for ways to use the pretty patterned paper I hoarded collected. I love mixing and matching colors! How-tos 1. Punch a square and die cut a mountain outline from patterned paper. 2. Use your stamps to help you virtualize the scene. 3. Use watermark ink and white embossing powder to heat emboss the moon and stars on dark paper. 4. Adhere the pieces together. 5. Trim to size. 6. Stamp sentiment. 7. Trim more patterned paper to size and adhere to card. 8. Use embellishments to finish the card. Starting next Monday September 1, we are having a week long blog hop with Freckled Fawn. Our […]

Friendship Star Shaker Card by Laurie Willison

Hello everyone! We have another guest today! I get giddy every time I receive a blog update from Laurie in my inbox. I love her clean and graphic style. The way she pulls things together always inspires me. Like the card she made for Curtain Call Challenge here (as shown above), she used a qtip  and the ink colors to make some brush strokes and then topped it with vellum! Such a beautiful result! While you are at her blog, don’t forget to check out the Card Hanger Dies Laurie designed! Now, let’s get to her fun shaker card for today! Friendship Star Shaker Card HI there Waffleflower friends! Snowy Night Glittery Shaker Card by JJ Bolton

Hello everyone! We have another guest today! One thing I love about JJ Bolton is that she is full of “surprises”! Her cards are created with fun techniques and clever uses of products, but there is usually something unexpected that makes me smile. On this card, that something is how JJ combined all four of our new sets together! I was all about critter stamps until JJ showed me what graphic stamps can do. I still collect cute images but my favorites are those ones that can be combined for endless possibilities. JJ’s product design reflects her creativity, do check them out! Now, take it away, JJ! Snowy Night Glittery Shaker Card Hi everyone! It’s JJ and I’m thrilled to be stopping in at Waffle Flower! I’m in love with all the new sets, and I put them all together to create this glittery shaker, snowy night Christmas card! (That’s a mouthful;) When I saw the winding river die of the […]

Build a Scene Using Distress Inks – Chari Moss

Hello everyone! We have another guest today! Chari Moss was one of my first cardmaker crushes. I’ve always loved her use of distress inks and her attention to details when it comes to building scenes. So when we have our first scene building set: Riverside, her name was the first one that came to my mind. You will find lots of clever uses of products in her post today! Take it away, Chari! Build a Scene Using Distress Inks Hi everyone, Chari here to share a project using some of the newest Waffle Flower stamps!
