Hello everyone! Happy Friday! I was inspired by this rock painting project to make a card for today! Since I’ve been having fun playing with our Rock My World Stamp Set and Die Set lately, I immediately wanted to make strawberries with our rocks! And here is my take! How to Make Strawberries from Your Rock Stamps 1. Stamp the rocks on the card front. I’m using the reverse side of the “live, laugh, love” rock to get a solid image. 2. Stamp the leaves (from Flower Circles Stamp Set) and cut out. Cut about 1/16″ away from the stamped image will actually give it a more finished look. 3. Use a black pen to add some random dots to your “strawberries”. Wait until your ink is dry on paper to do this. The dots do not need to be perfect. 4. Use a white gel pen to add the seeds. […]

Hello everyone! I’m sharing two 4th of July cards over at Pebbles’s Blog today and thought it would be fun to share another one here using the same collection: Americana! I started with my favorite paper from this collection “Home of the Brave“. The word “Sparkle” on it inspired me to spell “celebrate” using some white glitter foam alphabet stickers. I also used foam adhesive to add more dimension to the card. To my US friends and families – Happy 4th! Thank you for stopping by! Happy Crafting! Hello everyone! I was excited about all the new dies and embossing folders from Lifestyle Crafts / We R Memory Keepers. I immediately ordered a few of my favorites using my Studio Team credits. I played with the Mason Jar Die yesterday and wanted to share what I have discovered while playing: a faux watercolor look on Vellum! The Mason Jar was screaming to be cut with vellum! The technique is very simple: use your Copics or any other alcohol markers to color in the embossing window. Use as a template is one of my favorite features of this die! I was putting the colors on very liberally and was happy with the results! I traced the patterns with a 0.05 Copic multiliner to give them more definition. It was a nice surprise to find out that the “Be happy, it’s a decision.” sentiment from our Bowtiful Stamp Set fits nicely in the banners. Remember to bend your clear sentiment stamps if needed. I die […]
Hello everyone! Popped in to share a card I made that was published in Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking magazine June 2014 issue (p. 47)! This card was Top 3 of my favorites for last year. It all started with a scrap piece of pink cardstock that I didn’t want to toss away. I cut a heart with my Silhouette and heat embossed the sentiment from a PTI set in white. Love the sentiment! Thank you for stopping by! Happy Crafting!
Hello everyone! I had a crafty weekend and finally got around to play with the new release from Pebbles, the Birthday Wishes Collection! As a design team member, I’ve had this happy collection in my stash for a little while. I’m so excited that we finally get to share our projects! I have a card, a tag and a technique to share today! Paper Pieced Birthday Card I love the two little stamps in this collection. They are just perfect for the paper piecing technique. I first die cut a window from my card base. I used Waffle Flower’s brand new Surface – Tag Die – Starter Kit. I used a ruler to help me place it straight on paper and then used a piece of washi tape to hold the die in place while running it through the diecut machine. I then used the Surface – Tag Die – Scallop Add-on […]
Hello everyone! Happy Memorial Day! I made a card in honor of our hero. The Americana collection from Pebbles is by far my favorite patriotic line. I love that there is a nice kraft color mixed in the traditional red, white and blue. My favorite paper is this “Home of the Brave” paper from which I cut out my sentiment for the card. The pinwheel and the US flag tag are both ready made embellishments from the same collection. I trimmed one of the cardstock shape that says “Made in the USA” to make my banner on top. I also used foam adhesive to add more dimension to the card. God bless those who serve their country. Thank you for stopping by. Happy Crafting! Supplies
