Hello everyone! It’s time for another Runway Inspired Challenge! My first thought was to create something with cool neon shades. But can you tell that I was all over Fun & Cute again when making this card? All stamps from Teri Anderson’s new set for Technique Tuesday: Good to Snow! I was inspired especially by the model’s shoes to have the shiny curves. Don’t forget to check what my talented teamies have for you this time! Hope that you will play along! Happy Crafting! Hello everyone! I’m sharing some fun ways to use letter/number stamps with a couple of cool sets from Reverse Confetti and hopping along with their talented design team and friends today! The hop started over on the Reverse Confetti blog, and you should have arrived from Amber Hight’s Blog. Don’t forget to leave comments along the way for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate to their store! First one up, a Halloween card using the Lighthearted Letters stamp set. I punched a bunch pennants from white cardstock and stamped the letters to spell “Happy Halloween”. Fun, right? I drew a little stem for each pumpkin for some added detail. Second card, using Count Your Rainbows stamp set. I used the dashed line in the set as strings to hang the circled numbers on. I had a lot of fun making these cards for Reverse Confetti! You will sure be inspired by the […]
Hello Everyone! I had some time this morning and made a couple cards for Grayson and his brother Aydan. You can read about the card drive Danielle started here. These are simple cards but I hope that they will bring a smile to the boys. I used the new Hero Arts Gold ink on the building silhouette in the super day card. I am a little disappointed about the gold ink. It is watery (like the rest of the shadow inks) and is more like a light kraft color with some glitter in it than a solid pigment gold ink I am used to. I will try it more later but here is a comparison shot: And while I’m here, I would like to announce the random winner of Pebbles Back to Basics Blog Hop at my stop. Congratulations Kelly! Please email me your snail mail address at: Thank everyone for […]
Hello everyone! Popped in to share a card using the brand new stamp set from Neat and Tangled: Dreams! It is a special stamp set which is free with any order placed at N&T store during this month for our year 1 celebration. I used a technique I call Reverse Masking to create the orange background for the sentiment. I use reverse stamping technique a lot but when the stamp design is not symmetrical, it will not work. How about using the reverse side to create a mask for it? I experimented and liked the result. Here is how I did it: I inked the stamp on its reverse side, stamped and cut out. I used both pieces on my card. I used the cut-out piece (stamped side facing down) to mask and create the pink area. And the negative part to mask and ink the orange area. As the arrow […]
Hello everyone! Popped in to share two cards I made for Avery Elle using the new Aim High Stamp Set and Die! I adore the arrows in this set and used them to create a patterned background. My favorite die in this set is the circled arrow die. I diecut it from 3 different paper and mixed and matched the patterns for a fun look. I paired it with the Happy Camper set (cloud, bird) on my second card: I stamped the arrows and masked to color in between with some ink and dabber. Fun! I colored the outlined bird from Happy Camper with black marker and dotted his eye with a white gel pen. Thank you for stopping by! Don’t forget to check out my teamie Donna’s blog today! Hello everyone! Popped in to share another card I made with the You Rule set from Avocado Arts! I stamped the ruler image multiple times in black and then colored to create the background. Hope you enjoyed the card today. Thanks Avocado Arts for having me this month!
Hello everyone! I’m so excited to guest design for Avocado Arts this month! My card today was made with the brand new You Rule set. I like the big and beautiful images from this set especially the pair of shoes. I stamped the notebook paper image twice on some patterned paper and cut out to “clip” them together with the shoes. The clip was made with the clip stamp from the same set. Just cut as shown below. (You are seeing a pair of red shoes because I first tried coloring them but then decided to paper piece them instead.) I had so much fun making this card and I hope that you are inspired. Thank Avocado Arts for having me! And thank you for stopping by! Happy Crafting!
