Playing with Pebbles Birthday Wishes Collection

Hello everyone! I had a crafty weekend and finally got around to play with the new release from Pebbles, the Birthday Wishes Collection!   As a design team member, I’ve had this happy collection in my stash for a little while. I’m so excited that we finally get to share our projects! I have a card, a tag and a technique to share today! Paper Pieced Birthday Card I love the two little stamps in this collection. They are just perfect for the paper piecing technique. I first die cut a window from my card base. I used Waffle Flower’s brand new Surface – Tag Die – Starter Kit. I used a ruler to help me place it straight on paper and then used a piece of washi tape to hold the die in place while running it through the diecut machine. I then used the Surface – Tag Die – Scallop Add-on […]

Playing with Custom Letterpress Printing Plates from Lifestyle Crafts

Hello everyone! Popping in to share some fun I’ve had playing with the custom letterpress printing plates from Lifestyle Crafts / We R Memory Keepers. I love all the pre-designed printing plates  by Lifestyle Crafts, but I’ve always wanted to have some of my own. I’ve also got to play with the new and improved L Letterpress Platform (which will be available in WRMK official online store tomorrow, April 10!). I love that we have a few inks and some cleaning cloths to get started without further investment! Unboxing L Letterpress Platform (Watch it below or in HD on YouTube) Since I’ve shared a few letterpressed projects before, I get questions like “How does it really work?” all the time. I think it is a little hard to explain unless you’ve seen it in action. So here is my video: Custom Letterpress Printing Plates in Action (Watch it below or in HD on […]

Bannerific – Quick & Easy Projects Using Banner It Kit

Hello everyone! It’s been a while since I shared projects using It Kits from Lifestyle Crafts / We R Memory Keepers. I had some time this week and played with Banner It Kit! This banner die kit can help us create 8 unique banners that can be divided into 3 categories. 1. Two-step Banner Dies Cut with these two dies from two complimentary colors/patterns to create a cool dimensional look while the project remains flat! 2. Dimensional Banner Dies These three dies are designed to be folded into dimension! 3. Detailz Banner Dies These three dies work the same way as the other Detailz Dies, they emboss and die cut our paper at the same time! To help bring out the beautiful details, I used them as stencils to add ink to the die cuts. Remember to clean the dies with water or baby wipe after use. Now, let’s see […]

Take Me to Spring Gift Bags + Punch Board Giveaway

Hello everyone! I started to notice that the weather is getting warmer and more people are wearing shorts and flip-flops around here in Arizona. I hope that today’s project can bring a little sunshine to you if it is still cold there. Take Me to Spring Gift Bags Tips & Tricks Since the “legendary” Envelope Punch Board, We R Memory Keepers has expanded the punch board family to five. I used Gift Bag punch board for today’s project. All paper are from Pebbles Garden Party collection. There are many combinations of paper sizes to make a variety of bags. I would like to share what I did and what I learned. Butterfly Bag Paper: 4″Hx12″W; Bag: 3-5/8″W x 2-11/16″H x 2″D I like that it looks like a shopping bag and is big enough for gift cards and small treats! If you are using a patterned paper that has a direction, remember to turn […]

Made From Scratch Gift Tag

Hello everyone! Popped in to share a tag I made that was published in Create: Holidays Idea Book (October, 2013). It was made for Christmas but it certainly works for a handmade gift for Valentine’s Day or almost any occasion that you may have coming! I love, love cats! My cats love to play with anything that tangles and anything that they can scratch. Isn’t the sentiment perfect for a gift tag with a cat on it? How-to 1. Die cut a tag from pink heart paper and knot red hemp cord through the top of the tag. 2. Stamp the sentiment on the bottom of the tag in black and stamp the cat above it. 3. Stamp the cat image again onto blue patterned paper and white cardstock, paper piece the image together, and layer it over the base image using foam adhesive. 4. Wrap red hemp cord around […]

Wildflower Gift-Wrap with Top Dog Dies

Hello everyone! Popped in to share a gift-wrap I made with some dies from Top Dog Dies. Top Dog Dies is a new online store that offers their own brand of wafer-thin and steel-rule dies, along with dies from brands you already know and trust, including My Favorite Things, Sizzix, Savvy Stamps and Cheery Lynn Designs. Top Dog Dies is also the leading U.S. retailer for Tattered Lace, a new line of intricate dies designed by U.K. designer Stephanie Weightman. I die cut the Madison Doily from some silver foil paper and was happy with how cleanly it cuts. I did very little “poking” to clean up the intricate doily design. I die cut the Wildflower Die twice from green cardstock: And adhered the two pieces together loosely on top of the doily. I can picture myself putting more of this gift wrap together in the future. It is quick, […]
