Grayson Card Drive + A Winner

Hello Everyone! I had some time this morning and made a couple cards for Grayson and his brother Aydan. You can read about the card drive Danielle started here. These are simple cards but I hope that they will bring a smile to the boys. I used the new Hero Arts Gold ink on the building silhouette in the super day card. I am a little disappointed about the gold ink. It is watery (like the rest of the shadow inks) and is more like a light kraft color with some glitter in it than a solid pigment gold ink I am used to. I will try it more later but here is a comparison shot: And while I’m here, I would like to announce the random winner of Pebbles Back to Basics Blog Hop at my stop. Congratulations Kelly! Please email me your snail mail address at: Thank everyone for […]

RIC #43 – Friends Forever Card

Hello everyone! It’s time for another Runway Inspired Challenge! This one is very hard for me. I am not a big fan of grid patterns with lines so far apart. But I took a literal approach: I stamped the banner, masked and stamped the leaves. I then cut the top portion to square and used a ruler and a marker to draw the grid pattern: Som glassy accents to add some shine to the leaves. I also diecut the banner with the matching die to create a shadow like the design on the model’s pants. Click on over to see what my talented teamies have for you this time! [Guest Design] Folk Art Hello Card for Lawn Fawn

Hello everyone! I am guesting at Lawn Fawn Blog today. Squeal! Lawn Fawn has always been a special company to me. My first photopolymer stamps were from Lawn Fawn. My first published card in CARDS was using Lawn Fawn products. My first project in a company catalog and displayed at CHA was this card for Lawn Fawn. I have had several wonderful guest design opportunities because of this card I entered for Lawn Fawn CHA Winter 2013 Contest. I like what Kelly said in one of her videos: make cards that make people smile. I guess that is why I like Lawn Fawn so much! :) I hope that you enjoyed today’s card. Happy crafting!
