Hello everyone! I’m joining many card makers and paper crafters all over the world today for a hop for Cath, the Moxie Fab Cath Edvalson. If you came from sweet Virginia Lu’s blog, you are right on track.
Like many of my fellow crafters, I wouldn’t have gone this far if it wasn’t for Cath. I’ve lost count of how many of my projects were inspired by Cath’s posts. She’s made the Moxie Fab World THE BLOG among card makers and craft designers. But Like all good things, Cath posted her last post for Moxie Fab World last Friday, Nov 1. The news saddened our little paper crafting world. But I hope that we will still stay connected over Facebook and the blogland, Cath? Yet,
“Feeling Gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.”
~ William Arthur Ward
Cath, thank you for everything. My cards were inspired by Cath’s own paper cut cards.
Cath, you’ve made a difference to many people’s worlds.
Love and hug,
Your next stop is our friend Karolyn Loncon. Full list is available at Moxie Fab World.
Hello everyone! I hope your weekend’s been well? I am playing in Moxie Fab World: Tuesday Trigger again! This week, we are challenged to honor ombre!
My first thought was to ink a texture tile stamp with an ombre ink pad (like I did here!). But I prefer to do something different each time, so I used a piece of ombre patterned paper! The fancy feather stamp is from Technique Tuesday.
I love the design and the size of this feather! It is one of Teri Anderson‘s new designs for Summer CHA 2013. <– Which also means fun and clever sentiments!
Vellum and feather go together, right? I heat embossed the feather on vellum and liked how the ends curled up a little by the heat. I put a few dots of liquid glue behind the embossed lines (thanks Teri for making the lines thick enough to do this!) and adhered it to the card. It looks like that the feather could be blown away any second. Light and beautiful!
Thank you for stopping by! Happy Crafting!
I had a little pattern play on this card: polka dot, chevron and strip – my top 3 favorite patterns :) What? they are yours too? What a coincidence! lol
I was inspired by this week’s Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab World to make a big and bold statement on my card using alphabet stickers.
I had fun with the camera rub-on but I wish there was a big camera stamp like this :) You have until Sunday April 21 to enter the challenge, don’t miss the fun! Happy crafting!
Hello everyone! I am still recovering from my exciting CHA trip. What would be better than making a Itty Bitty Card in getting some mojo back? So here is my card using the 5th & Frolic stamp and paper. The card measures 2-1/2″ x 3″.
I did a little masking with some thin printer paper on this card.
The colors were pulled from the Tuesday Trigger: Sweet Dreams. Here is the trigger photo:
Itty Bitty Card Challenge is one of the 5 challenges that are going on right now at the Moxie Fab World. Why not check them out and give it a try? Happy Crafting!

Hello everyone! I got the happy publication acceptance email from Paper Crafts yesterday! Yay! But I am here today to share a card I loved but did not get picked up (one of my 20+ rejected ones). It was for this sketch:
My trigger was the yellow cab sticker I got in my DT box from KI Memories (Hampton Art). I also used alphabet stickers to spell out “NY”. I am entering this card to the Moxie Fab World: Alphabet Stickers Challenge.
I used stamps by Paper Smooches and Mama Elephant. Paper by GCD Studios.
Hello everyone! Have you made your card for the Tuesday Trigger: Val de Victorian challenge yet?
Since it is October, I made a Halloween card:
I heat embossed the Village stamp in Lavender on some yellow cardstock; colored a few random houses with a deeper purple marker. Rabbit and sentiment are heat embossed in white. The moon and stars are stamped with some watermark ink.
Morning everyone! I am so excited! I am the Moxie Fabber of the Week! If you are interested in reading more about me and my passion for this paper crafting hobby, head over there and check me out :)
We can’t have a post without a project, right? This card is one of my two cards published in the Paper Crafts Holiday Cards & More Vol. 7 (on sale today!)
I scored 3 companies I design for on this card: sentiment stamp from Joy’s Life, patterned paper and label from GCD Studios and tag and reinforcer die from Lifestyle Crafts.
Have a fantastic week, everyone! Happy crafting!
Morning Crafters! It’s been a while since I played in the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger. When I saw this super cool typewriter for this week, I just had to make time to create a card for it! And this time I am playing with some glitter pen from Cri-kits for my Silhouette Cameo. The typewriter is a sketch pattern in the Silhouette Online Store. ”you’re one of a kind” is from Sweet Popsicle Puns by Joy’s Life. I wrote the “HELLO” in the circles myself :) Sealed with some glassy accents!
Let’s turn off the light and take a closer look on the glittered lines:
Cool? I think so :) We will have a blog hop with giveaways on August 25 about these super cool pens for your digital die cut machines (Cricut, Pazzles, Silhouette and Eclips). Hope to see you then!
I am in a mood for leaves and repeated patterns! Checkout this week’s Tuesday Trigger!
And here is my take:
I saw Terri sanded her embossed Bazzill Basics swiss dot paper here and could not wait to try it:) My dots are not as raised as hers because I ran my paper through my die cut machine first. Spring Flowers die by Lifestyle Crafts.
We have been on shorts for a couple of weeks here in Arizona:) Hope that you have a sunny day too!
Snails are from a free template I get from Calendar of the Month Club by Scout Creative :) Have Fun!
Have you checked out today’s post on Moxie Fab World and Paper Crafts Connection? I have been enjoying all the posts this week but especially today’s! The 5 cards by Sarah Jay is so up in my alley! And do check out the mini blog hop, awesome inspirations!
Nuff said, here is my project for the 5 for $5 Challenge.
Finished size: 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″. (from left to right) 1. I did a little masking with the banner stamp; 2. I cut out the inside of the frame paper and popped it on with some foam dots; the blossom is the B side of the PP; 3. CAS enough? I rounded the corners and added some faux stitches:) A white gel pen counts as an essential, right? :)
Finished size: 2-3/4″ x 4-1/4″. Left: I cut out the window shape and simply stamped the sentiment; Right: I stamped the pinwheel three times on the white space of the unused labels and cut them out; the sentiment is the paper name printed on the barcode strip:) Got this idea from Chan Vuong in today’s blog hop:)
0.84 – Happy Day Paper by Lawn Fawn
3.99 – Hip Hip Hooray Small Pebbles Clear Stamps
0.15 – Cardstock (one and a half sheet for card bases)
4.98 – TOTAL (whew~)
I’m using Studio G pigment inks ($1 each), they work very well on acrylic (not photopolymer) stamps. If I did not use the stamps, I would probably use the Lawn Fawn alphabet sticker sheet ($3.99) to whip up something quickly!
I had so much fun making these cards:) I love smaller scale, clean and simple cards:)
Have a great day! Hugs, Nina
