[Video] Stamping Technique: Paper Piecing

Enter my Facebook giveaway (including rolls of washi tapes and paper pads) here!  I made this card and video for Hampton Art Blog. I learned something new yesterday: Fun & Cute is the most popular style!  (Said by Susan Opel, the creative editor for Paper Crafts Magazine in a post). I have been exploring Clean and Graphic style lately but today’s card will probably fall into the Fun & Cute category :) The stamps are all from Hampton Art licensed Doodlebug Designed stamp sets.  And I am sharing my first card-making video with my favorite stamping technique: paper piecing and my favorite type of images: frames. No coloring, just cardstock and black ink with some heat embossing. The video is in fast-forward mode (I am not that good;) Hope you will enjoy! Finished Card: SUPPLIES InLinkz.com

Mama Said

Made for Card Creations Week: The Doilies & Lace Challenge and Gallery Idol Open Auditions. I made 10 new cards for this audition – guess I am done with my encouragement card quota for at least a year :) The “I will make one more card” moment came to me several times:) I had so much fun making this card – wait,  another sentiment just came up: You will never know until you try. – :) Lots of layers is not a style I usual go for but I think it goes well with doilies & lace. I am very happy with the result. I paper pieced the shirt with some lace paper from Pretty Party 6×6 pad by Crate Paper. The background papers are from London Market by Pink Paislee. I spray misted the doily to match the colors. The stamps are from a Unity Stamp Monthly Kit (the only one […]

Konnichiwa Card

I guess torn edges and distress can go with cute stamps. ;)   I have that piece of embossed, sanded and distressed pink piece for about a week but could not figure out what to do with it. Finally, with this cute set from my first My Cute Stamps order, some scraps for the dresses, I used my hearty piece. Adore the middle one, so cute!   I used Tsukineko Rich Cocoa. Not like the other colors, this brown pad is very, very wet/watery, it bubbles on my stamps. I cannot get an even impression from it :( Maybe I should leave it uncovered overnight to dry?   Anyway, Happy Stamping~
