RIC #47 – Gold Glitter Tree Banner Peace Card

Hello everyone! It’s time for another Runway Inspired Challenge! I was inspired by the texture of the silk dress and the flowers on her top to make my card: I’m also entering this card in Hero Arts Holiday Challenge: A Few of My Favorite Things – Create any Christmas/Holiday/Winter card with a favorite stamping technique plus a Hero Arts holiday stamp. My favorite technique is Heat Embossing! I used a new gold embossing powder on this card and loved it! I cut the snowflake background stamp to stamp only the top. Since the snowflakes are random on this stamp, I don’t mind cutting the stamp apart. It will still stamp fine when putting together and stamp as one piece. All that glitters is gold! RIC #45 – Badge Star with Dots Background Birthday Card

Hello everyone! It’s time for another Runway Inspired Challenge! This time we are sponsored by Online Card Classes. While most of my teamies used strips on their cards, I used my new polka dot tile to recreate the great color variation in the outfit. The polka dots are designed to be stamped twice on top of each other. (The photo is showing my first try.  I decided to leave out the grays for my finished card.) I incorporated a little bit of strips behind the badge star on the yellow cardstock. The little dotted line stamp from the same set is perfect for the card: Before I go, I would like to introduce a new member to our Runway Inspired design team: Joni Andaya! I “met” Joni via Stamping Royalty earlier this year and absolutely fell in love with her style. Her talents and kindness show through her creations. I am […]

RIC #44 – Love Fabulous You Card + Craft Ideas for Pantone Spring 2014 Fashion Color Pick: Dazzling Blue

Hello everyone! It’s time for another Runway Inspired Challenge! My first thought was to use vellum over some intricate branch die cut. But my Technique Tuesday order came in and I had to play with the fabulous heart die and the sentiment stamp! The chevron zigzag patterned heart was what got me to order the die set but now my favorite is the outline heart – on which I stamped part of the sentiment. The white hearts were cut from thicker letterpress paper to get more definition for a white-on-white look. RIC #43 – Friends Forever Card

Hello everyone! It’s time for another Runway Inspired Challenge! This one is very hard for me. I am not a big fan of grid patterns with lines so far apart. But I took a literal approach: I stamped the banner, masked and stamped the leaves. I then cut the top portion to square and used a ruler and a marker to draw the grid pattern: Som glassy accents to add some shine to the leaves. I also diecut the banner with the matching die to create a shadow like the design on the model’s pants. Click on over to see what my talented teamies have for you this time!
