Hello everyone! Happy Friday! I was inspired by this rock painting project to make a card for today! Since I’ve been having fun playing with our Rock My World Stamp Set and Die Set lately, I immediately wanted to make strawberries with our rocks! And here is my take! How to Make Strawberries from Your Rock Stamps 1. Stamp the rocks on the card front. I’m using the reverse side of the “live, laugh, love” rock to get a solid image. 2. Stamp the leaves (from Flower Circles Stamp Set) and cut out. Cut about 1/16″ away from the stamped image will actually give it a more finished look. 3. Use a black pen to add some random dots to your “strawberries”. Wait until your ink is dry on paper to do this. The dots do not need to be perfect. 4. Use a white gel pen to add the seeds. […]

Hello everyone! Popped in to share a tag I made for GCD Studios. Supplies: All paper from Sunkissed 6×6 paper pad #2069; flower, tag and sentiment stickers from Sunkissed Labels #2071; blue border from Sunkissed Borders #2074. I started with a tag sticker and a cool strip pattern from the 6×6 pad. I cut out the flower on the right, punched out another flower from the circle sticker and cut out the center to stack them together for a dimensional look. I then backed the tag with some white cardstock, adhered the border and cut out. Feel free to complete the sentiment to say “Sending You Sunshine” or “Hello Sunshine”. They both go well with the theme. What do you think? ;) Thank you for stopping by! Happy Crafting!
Hello everyone! Popped in to share a card I made for GCD Studios. Supplies: All paper from Sunkissed 6×6 paper pad #2069; sentiment from Sunkissed Labels #2071 The 6×6 star paper is perfect for a shaped card. I started by cutting the center out to create a cool negative space for the wave pattern to show through. I then curled some scrap from the swimming girl paper to create some fun dimension for the card. Attached to the back with scotch tape. The floral cluster was cut out from paper in the same pad. And I picked the perfect sentiment from the Sunkissed Label sticker sheet to finish my card. Thank you for stopping by! Happy Crafting! *Hope you will come back for our Stamping Royalty 2013 Blog Hop and Giveaway TOMORROW!

Hello everyone! I’m very excited to share a project I made for Jo-Ann “Cape Discovery” summer crafting challenge! The project on the left is on p.16 of Jo-Ann’s spring catalog: http://bit.ly/cape-discovery . There are 72 knitting, sewing, paper and general craft projects that are sure to inspire. You can find the links to the How-to instructions at the bottom of each page. We were encouraged to reference the instructions but adding our own personal twist. And you can see my take on the right. I went to my local Jo-Ann store and bought a glass cube as well as some paper and embellishments. Look at the wall of Kathy Davis goodies. I picked a piece of matching paper from a 12×12 pad I had, trimmed to size and scored to form the base. The sample project used a Cricut to cut an open design on the side. I just used my […]
Hello everyone! I couldn’t remember when was the last time I made something just for the fun of it. So when I saw the new The Mixy-Matchy Style Challenge in the Moxie Fab World, I decided to play a little for myself :) I have been exploring the mixy-matchy style (free-style collage?) lately myself. The photos Cath put together for us in the challenge are so inspiring! I have a few more ideas I would like to try in the next few day. Spend 2-3 hours making a card is the best way to end a long day, right? ;) Lots of patterned paper and some stamping, a little bit of washi, a little bit of cork, a little bit of wood and a little bit of sequins and hemp cord. I had so much fun putting this card together. A touch of glitter to finish the card. Can you tell that […]
Hello everyone! I’m playing in the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop today: Tilted. Is it too early to share a summer card? I was inspired by Moxie Fab World The Wonder of Watercolor Challenge to create my background panel with watercoloring. I brushed on the sand color first and brought in a very light blue in a circular motion from left to right and then added in a deeper blue to create some depth. But to be honest, I really didn’t know what I was doing – the watercolor fixed itself when dried! Keep the paper wet while coloring – the best tip I’ve ever had. Had so much fun! All stamps from Flipping Out by PTI. The flip flops were cut with the die and then stamped. Thank you for stopping! Happy crafting!
