Hopefully the stamps and dies are on their way to you? Haha, let’s get back to the basics of using them, shall we? ;)
The Basic Badge Star Look
Here are the 5 steps in an order that worked best for me: (my goal was to eyeball everything!)
1. Stamp the banner sentiment.
We have “Christmas”, “Holidays”, “Birthday” and a blank banner in this set. For the blank one, it is better to stamp it in a light color as a base for your sentiment. If you use pigment ink, wait till the ink dries between layers.
2. Stamp the badge on top.
I eyeballed it. You can also use a stamp-a-ma-jig.
3. Stamp the decor lines.
I put the decor line stamps down to where I need them to be (check them at a similar angle as shown below to make sure that they are aligned to the center), pick them up with a block and then stamp.
4. Stamp the rest of the sentiment (the curved words).
We have curved “Merry”, “Happy”, “You’re”, and “Just” stamps in this set to say “Merry Christmas”, “Happy Holidays”, “Happy Birthday”, “You’re Awesome” and “Just For You”.
5. Stamp the Badge Center
We have three badge centers in the stamp set. You can use them alone or mix-n-match them. The one here (the tone on tone green sunburst pattern) was stamped using the same green ink with the sunburst pattern (on the right) stamped on top of the solid pattern (on the left).
The centers are slightly bigger than the opening and are very easy to line up.
And the little star in the center? I stamped the star from the stamp set and then diecut to get a perfect color match! Yay!
That’s it for today! Have a great weekend everyone!
