[Guest & Giveaway] Ombre Stamped Stitched Cup of Tea by Lydia Evans

Hi there everyone, it's Lydia here from Lydia Evans Design. I'm so excited to be guesting here today over on the Waffle Flower Blog. I was sooooo lucky to meet the amazing Nina earlier this year so this makes me even more happy to be sharing with you guys!

Okay, so I'm in LOVE with this stamp set! I just love how cute these little tea images are and that they have little cute faces makes me smile mide when I use them.

Even though they are solid stamps that does't mean that they have to be all the same colour- by double stamping them with different inks you can get many different looks- I hope my video inspires you to give it a try!

[Guest & Giveaway] Lotus Shaker Card by Julie Faherty

Hello everyone! The fantastic Julie Faherty is guesting with us one more time today and this week she has a gorgeous shaker card with an amazing VIDEO to share! Scroll down to check out her video to get all the deets! And don't forget to leave a comment below to be entered into a drawing for a $10 gift certificate!

Hi Everyone! Julie here and am guesting again today with Waffle Flower Crafts. Today I will be creating a fun and easy shaker birthday card using the Lotus stamp and die set.

I am going to use the die of the large lotus flower and cut that out of a piece of card stock. For this card I am going to be using the negative of the die cut for the front of the card.

Next I am going to use some Ranger Ink Dylusions ink sprays which are some of my favorite inks to use and spray them into an empty paint palette. Using a water brush and stamping block I am going to flick the ink off of the stamping block onto my card stock with each of the colors.

Using some Smooth Bristol Card Stock I am going to use the same colors (Pure Sunshine, Bubble Gum Pink and Funky Fuchsia) to create the background of my card.

For the front part of the shaker I am going to use some acetate that works really well when embossing. Using the lotus stamp that matches the die we used earlier, I am going to stamp the flower image with some Versamark ink and then use some yellow embossing powder.

I am then going to line up our stamped image inside of the piece of die cut card stock and adhere the piece of acetate to the back of the card stock.

Using some foam tape and I stuck two pieces together to add some height and placed the tape around the flower image create a little box and also added the tape to cover the back of the card stock. Inside the little box where the flower is added some clear beads, glitter and colored sequence that match the background and then place our background on top and close the little box securely with the glitter and sequence.

Using some adhesive I place our finished piece on the card and the card is complete.

I hope you enjoyed this video and hope you have a great day! Thanks so much for stopping by!

[Guest & Giveaway] Happy Day Distress Oxide Background by Julie Faherty

Hello all! We have special guest joining us today for another guest feature with another $10 gift certificate to giveaway as well! Today we have the very talented Julie Faherty joining us! She has an amazing style and I know you will love the awesome card and video!

Hi Everyone! My name is Julie and I have the opportunity to be a guest today with Waffle Flower Crafts.

Today I am going to be creating a card using the Happy Day Stamp and Die set by Big Bear and Bird and create a colorful background using Ranger Ink Distress Oxides.

To create a banner look with each sentiment for the background, using the grids on the stamping block and lining them up with the lines on the graph paper helped me keep the words in a straight line as much as possible.

Over the stamped images I used some Ranger Ink Distress Oxides (Cracked Pistachio, Worn Lipstick, Broken China and Fossilized Amber) and sprayed some water onto the ink to create the oxidized and chalky look. For the bear, I embossed the stamped image with clear embossing powder so the black ink would be glossy and stand out against the background. To color in the bear I used the Distress Oxide ink again in Vintage Photo with a mini blending tool.

With a water brush pen I filled in the flowers and wheels of the bike with the same colors used for the background. I also used the matching die to cut the bear out and adhered to the background with some iridescent sequence to make the card a little sparkly! Finally, I adhered the card to the background using some 3M tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Julie
