Hi Everyone Rina here and I am so honored to be able to Guest Design for May!
I cannot believe summer is just around the corner. Summer means ice cream!!! The Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set was so fun to work with. These images are adorable! I wanted to create a unique shaker card that looks amazing but easy to do at the same time. I hope you try this technique out.
First, I colored and cut my images. I used a white gel pen for highlight and copic markers for the coloring. Here are the colors I used:
We will create the sentiment using the sentiment from the stamp set ‘You’re as sweet as ice cream’. Use the Lacy Layers 2 Die to cut out the largest oval image. The bottom portion will be inked with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink to create some interest.
The shaker will be made out of the Lacy Layers Die. Take the two largest dies and use a post it note, or whatever you choose,to make sure the dies stay together. You will take the next two inner dies and do the same as depicted in the picture. First take the one with the two largest dies, you will cut this out 4 times. Save the inner piece because you will take that paper and use the second die combo to die cut out 4 times. There will be a lot of extra pieces, so save them for projects later. You should end up with 4 bigger frames and 4 smaller frames.
Here is how to assemble:
- Let us start with the larger frames and a piece of acetate, remember you will have 4 larger frames
Adhere your sentiment and images to the front and enjoy your super cute card!!!
Thanks for stopping by and as always thank you for the love and support!
Rina
