[Guest Designer] Kitties and Flowers with Jana Millen

Hello all! It's Jana here and I am beyond excited to be a guest designer for Waflle Flower today. Their unique and beautiful designs make me smile and I had fun playing with a couple of fun stamp sets. I had to start with a kitty because, well, it’s a kitty!

To create this card I stamped the image using the Smiling Stamp Set using black ink on Neenah cardstock. I colored the image with Copic markers in the likeness of my cat, Kirby. To add a little sparkle I colored the flowers using Spectrum Noir Glitter pen. I then used the matching dies it cut out the images. I loved how the die cut out so many details, it is just beautiful. To create the card base I used a light blue folded note card then added a stitched panel of white cardstock and a slightly smaller striped paper panel. The kitty was adhered using foam tape. The greeting is also from the Smiling Stamp Set and is adhered using foam tape.

While I had the stamp set out I decided to create another card using one of the flowers in the set.

I stamped it multiple times and colored them with Copic markers in rainbow colors. I added some Spectrum Noir glitter pen to the flowers. I die cut them using the matching dies. I adhered a piece striped paper to a folded card base, slicing it diagonally before adhering. The flowers were lined up in a row and adhered to the card base. I stamped the greeting from the stamp set on a white cardstock strip matted in light green paper and adhered it to the card front.

My third card uses the beautiful Bouquet Builder Combo Set.

To create the card front I used the Layering Woodgrain stamp and stamped it in tan ink onto tan cardstock. Then I die cut it using a stitched rectangle die. Next, I mounted it on a die cut rectangle of peach paper and adhered it to a white folded note card. I stamped the flowers and leaves/stems twice using the Bouquet Builder 1 Stamp Set using black ink on Neenah card stock. I then colored the images with Copic markers. Next, to create the card front background I cut the images apart so they could be arranged to cover the stamped background. The greeting was stamped using the Congrats Stamp Set. I adhered the pieces to the card base, using foam tape behind the floral piece and the black sentiment strip.

Thank you so much for joining me today!
