Cheers with Alcohol Ink Water by Channin

Hello all! It’s Channin here with a new video! In today’s video I demonstrate how to create a simple alcohol inked background that mimics the look of water and all with only one color of alcohol ink! I also show you how I foil and copic color this cool cat from the Cheers Stamp Set!

Cheers with Alcohol Ink Water by Channin

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

I started with the alcohol inked background. Onto a sheet of Yupo paper, I dropped droplets of Ranger Sailboat Blue Alcohol Ink and then used Alcohol Blending Solution to dilute the ink and create different values. When I had good ink coverage on my Yupo paper I set it aside to dry. Next, I stamped then copic colored the cat from the Cheer Stamp Set. I then applied adhesive onto the sunglasses with a Decofoil Adhesive Pen. I then applied a small strip of Iridescent Decofoil over the sunglasses and then die cut the cat out with the matching die. Next, I heat set the foil by running the image through my laminator.

I then cut three 1.75” x 3” rectangles of white cardstock and then stamped the sentiment from the Cheers Stamp Set onto one with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Next, I adhered all of the rectangles together with the stamped one on top. I finished my card by die cutting the alcohol inked background using the largest die from the A2 Nesting Rectangles 1 Die set, then adhering it and the sentiment to an A2 top-folding card base. Lastly, I adhered the cat with foam tape above the sentiment.

I hope you enjoyed today’s video and card! Thanks so much for stopping by and see you Thursday with a new video!!

Moon & Stars Shaker Card by Channin

Hello all! It’s Channin here with a new video! In today’s video I will create another Moon & Stars shaker card but this time in a more classic style, with beautifully blended midnight sky!

Moon & Stars Shaker Card by Channin

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

First, I repeatedly stamped and gold heat embossed all the stars from the Moon & Stars Stamp Set onto an A2 panel of 110lb white cardstock to create a background of stars. I then die cut an A2 panel with the largest die from the Moon & Stars Panel Die and then stamped and gold heat embossed a sentiment onto the panel. I also gold heat embossed the rest of my sentiment and the set of stars again on the inside of an A2 card base. Next, I ink blended a night sky onto the two panels with Distress Ink (Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, & Chipped Sapphire). I then die cut two strips of stars and the moon from the Moon & Stars Panel Die out of mirrored gold cardstock. I also die cut the Mini Arrow Die from the same gold cardstock. Next, I adhered the non-diecut blended panel onto the front of my card base and then die cut my shaker well from blue craft foam using the frame die from the Rainbow Panel Die set.

I then adhered this frame onto my card base over the blended panel. Next, I adhered an A2 piece of acetate onto my die cut panel with Tombow Mono Multi Liquid adhesive and then adhered the gold stars to the front of the panel. To finish up the card, I adhered the moon to the background, filled the well with clear sequins and chunky gold glitter, and then sealed it up with the top panel.

I hope you enjoyed today's video and card! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Gym Rats and Marvy Uchida Watercolor Pencils by Channin

Hello all! It’s Channin here and today is our final day of our collaboration with Marvy Uchida! In today’s video I demonstrate a simple coloring technique on these cute Hamsters from the Gym Rat Combo set using Marvy Uchida Watercolor Pencils and their Le Plume II Blender. I had a lot of fun with this card and even made the center hamster resemble a certain celebrity, any guesses? Watch the video to find out!

Gym Rats and Marvy Uchida Watercolor Pencils by Channin

Watch below or on our Youtube channel.

First, I stamped several hamsters from Gym Rat Stamp Set the onto 110lb white cardstock in Versafine Onyx Black Ink. I then colored them in with a 24 set of Marvy Uchida watercolor pencils and then blended with the Marvy’s Le Plume II Blender. Once all my images were colored I die cut them out with the matching dies. Next, I stamped a wood floor with the Layering Woodgrain Stamp Set in Coffee Loves Milk onto light brown cardstock. I then trimmed the stamped cardstock to 2.125” x 5.5”. Next I stamped, a rainbow burst onto an A2 panel of white yardstick using the Rain Check Stamp Set an array of Waffle Flower Inks (My Pleasure, Oh Happy Day, You Said What, Chirp Chirp, Happy Go Lucky, and Daydreaming).

I then adhered the woodgrain paper onto the A2 panel and then ran the two together through my die cutting machine with the largest die from the A2 Nesting Rectangles 1 Die to add a stitched border. Next, I adhered all the images to the panel and then adhered the panel to an A2 card base. Lastly, I stamped a sentiment from the Gym Rat Stamp Set onto the card front in Versafine Onyx Black.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and video! Thank you so much for joining us during or week long collaboration with Marvy Uchida! And don’t forget to check out their Instagram feed next week when they share their projects their team created with Waffle Flower products! Have a wonderful day!

Glow-in-the-Dark Moon & Stars with Marvy Uchida by Channin

Hello friends!! It’s Channin here with a new card video! In today’s video I demonstrate how to create this fun glow-in-the-dark card using the Glow in the Dark markers from Marvy Uchida and the awesome Moon & Stars Combo Set!

Glow-in-the-Dark Moon & Stars with Marvy Uchida by Channin

Watch below on our YouTube channel.

First, I die cut an A2 panel, two strips of stars, some stars and a moon out of black cardstock using the Moon & Stars Panel Die. Then using the Glow in the Dark markers I colored the moon and all the stars.

Next, I die cut the strips of stars twice once more but this time out of black craft foam. I then adhered the cardstock star strips on top of the craft foam ones. Next, I stamped and silver heat embossed a sentiment onto the panel using the Moon & Stars Stamp Set.

I then adhered the star strips onto the back of the panel and then filled in any open spaces more craft foam. Next, I adhered the panel onto an A2 top-folding card base made from black cardstock. I then finished the card by adhering the remaining stars onto the card front.

I hope you enjoyed today’s video and card. Thanks so much for stopping by! See you Friday for our final Marvy Uchida project!

Puffy Rainbow with Marvy Uchida by Channin

Hello all! Today starts our week long collaboration with Marvy Uchida! I”m so excited about this week because I have some really fun and unique cards to share with you!! Today I use Marvy Uchida’s Puffy Velvet Markers to create a fun textured card with the Little Painters Set.

Puffy Rainbow with Marvy Uchida by Channin

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

To start, I first stamped a paint brush from the Little Painters Stamp Set five times onto Canson Bristol paper in VersaFine Onyx Black ink. I then colored them with Marvy Uchida’s ColorIn Brush Tip Markers, using water and brush to create gradations and soften the color. I then die cut the images out with the matching dies. Next, I colored a rainbow gradation using ColorIn Markers on bristol paper and then die cut the Rainbow Word Die from it. I then trimmed the paint brushes down to create a pyramid shape and and adhered them to an A2 panel with foam tape.

Next, I colored paint streaks with 5 different colors of Marvy Uchida Puffy Velvet markers and heat set them to make them puff. I then die cut a sentiment strip using the Sentiments Die and then stamped and white heat embossed a sentiment from the Rainbows Stamp Set. Next, I took a strip of vellum and wrapped it around my panel, using a tape runner to hold it in place. I then used more tape to adhere the panel onto an A2 top-folding card base. Finished up the card by adhering my sentiment onto the vellum with liquid adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and video! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you Wednesday for another project feature Marvy Uchida!

Striped Moon & Stars Shaker Card by Channin

Hello everyone! It’s Channin here with a new video! Today I share how to create this colorful striped shaker card with the Moon & Stars Combo set. I just love the versatility of this set! Today I make a welcome baby themed card but you could easily use a different sentiment and palette and create a graduation card, an encouragement card, or even a simple I love you card.

Striped Moon & Stars Shaker Card by Channin

Watch below or on our Youtube channel.

First, I stamped the striped background using the Plaid Play Stamp Set and a variety of Waffle Flower dye inks (Happy Go Lucky, Safe Choice, Oh Happy Day, You Said What, Chirp Chirp, New Fish In Pond, & Daydreaming) on an A2 panel of white cardstock. Next, I die cut the Moon & Stars Panel die from white cardstock, making sure to die cut the strips of stars twice. I then silver heat embossed a sentiment from the Moon & Stars Stamp Set onto the panel and silver heat embossed the large die cut moon as well. Next I die cut two frames out of craft foam using the Rainbow Panel Die and adhered them together.

I then adhered the die cut strips of stars to the Moon & Stars panel and then adhered a panel of acetate to the back. Next, I adhered the foam frame to the striped panel and then filled the panel with my shaker components (Little Things by Lucy’s Cards: Sprinkles - Star Bright, Little Things by Lucy’s Cards: Diamonds - Dewdrop, & silver sequins). I then finished the card by adhering the front panel over the striped panel, then adhered the embossed moon too the acetate, and finally adhered the shaker panel to an A2 top-folding card base.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and video! Thanks for stopping by!

Rainbows and Deco Foil by Channin

Hello all! It's Channin here with a new project and video for our collaboration week with Thermoweb! I seriously couldn't wait to share today's project with you all! I had so much foiling rainbows left and right with the Rainbow Panel Die and the beautiful Rainbow and Iridescent Deco Foil Transfer Sheets. Yup, this is going to be good!

Rainbows and Deco Foil by Channin

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

I started by creating my background. First, I placed the Starburst Deco Foil Stencil over an A2 panel of white cardstock. I then spread Deco Foil Transfer Gel over the stencil, removed the stencil, and let the panel dry for an hour. While the panel was drying I die cut a rainbow, clouds, and "rainbows" sentiment using the Rainbow Panel Die, Partly Cloudy Die, and Rainbow Word Die from a Deco Foil Toner Sheet. Next, I foiled the rainbow stripes and "rainbows" sentiment die cuts with a Rainbow Deco Foil Transfer Sheet. I then foiled the clouds with an Iridescent Deco Foil Transfer Sheet. Next, I die cut the all the images again (rainbow, clouds, & "rainbows" sentiment) from craft foam. I then adhered the foiled die cuts to their craft foam counterparts.

Next, I die cut a sentiment strip using the Sentiments Die set from black cardstock and then stamped and white heat embossed the rest of my sentiment using the Rainbows Stamp Set. I then foiled my stenciled background panel with more iridescent foil. I then put together my card by adhering the stenciled panel onto an A2 top-folding card base, then adhering the rainbow and clouds to the card front. Lastly, I adhered the sentiment strip and then the "rainbows" die cut over the largest cloud.

I hope you enjoyed today's project and video! And don't forget about the giveaway for a $25 Thermoweb gift certificate and a $25 Waffle Flower Crafts gift certificate. To enter please leave a comment below by Monday, June 4th!

Tropical Floral Card with Thermoweb by Channin

Hello all! It's Channin here and this week we so excited to be collaborating with our friends at Thermoweb to bring you several projects and videos featuring designs that combine our stamps and dies with some truly amazing products by Thermoweb!

My favorite Thermoweb products are from their Deco Foil line. I love the polish and shine foiling adds to my projects and Thermoweb has so many different looks the possibilities seem endless. In today's video I share with you how to create this beautiful tropical card that combines die cutting and stamping with foil. Hope you enjoy!

Tropical Floral Card with Thermoweb by Channin

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

First, I stamped a couple flowers from the Bouquet Builder 1 Stamp Set onto coral cardstock in Versamark ink and then heat embossed them with in clear embossing powder. I then placed a trimmed piece of Wild Cherry Deco Foil Transfer Sheet over the stamped images, colored side up, and then ran them through my warmed (heating up for 20 minutes) laminator. I them removed the transfer sheet and die cut the flowers out with the matching dies. Next, I die cut a couple of leaves using the Greenery Die set and a "congrats" using the Congrats Die from Deco Foil PeelnStick Toner Sheets. I then foiled these die cuts using my laminator.

I used Emerald Watercolor Transfer Sheets for the leaves and Gold for the sentiment. Next, I trimmed a Groovy patterned Deco Foil Clear Designer Toner Sheet to 5.5" x 3.75" then foiled it in Wild Cherry. I then adhered an A2 panel of coral cardstock to an A2 top-folding cardbase. Next, I adhered the clear foiled sheet to my card front with small amounts of double sided tape. I then adhered the leaves with liquid glue and then placed the flowers on top with foam tape. Next, I die the "congrats" again but this time from craft foam. I then adhered the gold congrats onto top and then adhered it to my card front.

I hope you enjoyed today's card and video!

Always with Daniel Smith Watercolors by Channin

Hello all! It’s Channin here with a new video! Today I’m demonstrating how I created this sweet card with the Always set and the no line watercoloring technique.

Always with DS Watercolors by Channin

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

First I stamped all the flowers and leaves from the Always Stamp Set onto an A2 panel of watercolor paper in Distress Ink Antique Linen. I then stamped one of the flowers and the bird on a scrap of watercolor paper in Antique Linen as well. I then watercolored all the stamped images in with Daniel Smith watercolors. Once I had finished the watercoloring I die cut the single flower and bird with the matching dies.

I then stamped my sentiment in Distress Ink Shaded Lilac and Distress Oxide Faded Jeans onto watercolor paper, just to be consistent then trimmed to a strip. Next, I adhered my panel onto an A2 top folding card base, then adhered the sentiment, flower and bird with foam tape. And that’s all! :)

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and video! Thanks so much for stopping by!
