Gym Rats and Marvy Uchida Watercolor Pencils by Channin

Hello all! It’s Channin here and today is our final day of our collaboration with Marvy Uchida! In today’s video I demonstrate a simple coloring technique on these cute Hamsters from the Gym Rat Combo set using Marvy Uchida Watercolor Pencils and their Le Plume II Blender. I had a lot of fun with this card and even made the center hamster resemble a certain celebrity, any guesses? Watch the video to find out!

Gym Rats and Marvy Uchida Watercolor Pencils by Channin

Watch below or on our Youtube channel.

First, I stamped several hamsters from Gym Rat Stamp Set the onto 110lb white cardstock in Versafine Onyx Black Ink. I then colored them in with a 24 set of Marvy Uchida watercolor pencils and then blended with the Marvy’s Le Plume II Blender. Once all my images were colored I die cut them out with the matching dies. Next, I stamped a wood floor with the Layering Woodgrain Stamp Set in Coffee Loves Milk onto light brown cardstock. I then trimmed the stamped cardstock to 2.125” x 5.5”. Next I stamped, a rainbow burst onto an A2 panel of white yardstick using the Rain Check Stamp Set an array of Waffle Flower Inks (My Pleasure, Oh Happy Day, You Said What, Chirp Chirp, Happy Go Lucky, and Daydreaming).

I then adhered the woodgrain paper onto the A2 panel and then ran the two together through my die cutting machine with the largest die from the A2 Nesting Rectangles 1 Die to add a stitched border. Next, I adhered all the images to the panel and then adhered the panel to an A2 card base. Lastly, I stamped a sentiment from the Gym Rat Stamp Set onto the card front in Versafine Onyx Black.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and video! Thank you so much for joining us during or week long collaboration with Marvy Uchida! And don’t forget to check out their Instagram feed next week when they share their projects their team created with Waffle Flower products! Have a wonderful day!

Striped Moon & Stars Shaker Card by Channin

Hello everyone! It’s Channin here with a new video! Today I share how to create this colorful striped shaker card with the Moon & Stars Combo set. I just love the versatility of this set! Today I make a welcome baby themed card but you could easily use a different sentiment and palette and create a graduation card, an encouragement card, or even a simple I love you card.

Striped Moon & Stars Shaker Card by Channin

Watch below or on our Youtube channel.

First, I stamped the striped background using the Plaid Play Stamp Set and a variety of Waffle Flower dye inks (Happy Go Lucky, Safe Choice, Oh Happy Day, You Said What, Chirp Chirp, New Fish In Pond, & Daydreaming) on an A2 panel of white cardstock. Next, I die cut the Moon & Stars Panel die from white cardstock, making sure to die cut the strips of stars twice. I then silver heat embossed a sentiment from the Moon & Stars Stamp Set onto the panel and silver heat embossed the large die cut moon as well. Next I die cut two frames out of craft foam using the Rainbow Panel Die and adhered them together.

I then adhered the die cut strips of stars to the Moon & Stars panel and then adhered a panel of acetate to the back. Next, I adhered the foam frame to the striped panel and then filled the panel with my shaker components (Little Things by Lucy’s Cards: Sprinkles - Star Bright, Little Things by Lucy’s Cards: Diamonds - Dewdrop, & silver sequins). I then finished the card by adhering the front panel over the striped panel, then adhered the embossed moon too the acetate, and finally adhered the shaker panel to an A2 top-folding card base.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and video! Thanks for stopping by!

[WIW] Wild Birthday Card by Channin

Hello! It’s Channin here for Waffle Flower’s Watch It Wednesday! In today’s video I create this fun and playful birthday card. I used the new Jungle Birthday and Limo Ride Stamps and Dies with the Apartment Builder Die and 9 Grids Die to create a wild party scene!

[WIW] Wild Birthday Card by Channin

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

First, I die cut a grid panel using the 9 Grids Die, a roof with the Apartment Builder Die Set and a scalloped border with the Scenery Die Set from 110lb white cardstock. I then trimmed a square panel to fit behind the 9 grid panel and then cut and folded an A2 top-folding card base (4.25” x 11”, scored and folded at 5.5”) also from 110lb white cardstock. Next, I made a mask with the scalloped die from the Scenery Die Set and contact paper. I then ink blended Distress Oxide over the grid panel and Waffle Flower’s Like a Pro over the roof. Next I ink blended Waffle Flower’s You Said What over the square panel using the straight side of the mask to blend in rows to add warmth to the windows. I then blended a cloudy sky at the top half of the card base using the scalloped side of the mask and Memento Bahama Blue. I then finished up my blending by blending Distress Oxide Twisted Citron and Waffle Flower’s Chirp Chirp to the lower portion of my card base and the scalloped border. Next, I die cut the 9 Grids Die and the roof from the Apartment Builder Die out of craft foam and set all the die cut pieces aside.

I then stamped, copic colored, and die cut with the matching dies several images from the Jungle Birthday and Limo Ride sets. I then adhered the cardstock grid to the craft foam grid and then the pair to the square panel. Next, I adhered the cardstock roof and craft foam roof together and then set the gird and roof aside. I then added foam tape to the backside of all the images except the balloons and banner and then adhered them to the 9 grid. I then adhered the balloons and banner to the grid and then adhered the grid to the card base. Lastly, I adhered the roof and scallop border to the card front. I

hope you enjoyed today’s video and card! Thank you so much for stopping in!

[Technique] Silhouetted Scene with Rainbow Background by Channin

Hello all! It’s Channin here with a new technique video! Today I have a fun idea for your stamps that are more solid or less linear. With the current coloring trend in full force these types of stamps often get forgotten, which is a shame because there are so many fun techniques and creative designs you can only do/create with these more solid stamps sets. In today’s video I demonstrate how to create a simple scene in silhouette that just pops with a bright rainbow stamped background.

[Technique] Silhouetted Scene with Rainbow Background by Channin

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

First, I created a rainbow background by repeatedly stamping a stripe stamp from the Plaid Play Stamp Set with my MISTI on an A2 white card base in a rainbow of Waffle Flower Inks (You Said What, Chirp Chirp, Daydreaming, New Fish in Pond, Happy Go Lucky, Oh Happy Day, My Pleasure, & Safe Choice).

Next, I stamped several images from the Morning Stamp Set in VersaFine Onyx Black onto the card front. Once, all the images were stamped, I stamped a sentiment from the Flower Circles Stamp Set. Lastly, I added a few accents and a shadow to the sentiment with a white gel pen.

And that's it! I hope you all enjoyed! Thanks so much for stopping by!

[Technique] Offset Rainbow Sentiment by Channin

Hello everyone! It’s Channin here with a new technique video! In today’s video I’m doing a lot of stamping to create this colorful Christmas card! By simply stamping a sentiment slightly offset and repeatedly in a rainbow of colors, I create a dimensional and unique one-layer card.

[Technique] Offset Rainbow Sentiment by Channin

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

First, I arranged all the letters in “Christmas”, except for the last “s”, from the Cutaway Alpha Stamp Set on my MISTI. I then stamped the letters in Daydreaming Dye Ink onto an A2 white card base. I then slid the card upward 1/16”, keeping the side of the card against the side of MISTI, and stamped the letters in a new color (Happy Go Lucky Dye Ink). I repeated this process for several more Waffle Flower inks (Tickled Pink, My Pleasure, Oh Happy Day, You Said What, Chirp Chirp, & New Fish in Pond) and then finished with a final layer in VersaFine Onyx Black. I then thoroughly dried my card with my heat gun.

Next I removed only the “s” from my MIST and then flipped my MISTI around and then positioned the “s” at the end of the word. I then repeatedly stamped the “s” in exactly the same manner as I stamped the rest of the letters. I then heat set my card, repositioned it in the MISTI, and then stamped the “s” in Versamark and heat embossed with glitter embossing powder. I then embossed the rest of the letters in Christmas, by first repositioning the “s” using the card as a guide. Lastly, I stamped and heat embossed “Merry” and some flourishes from the Peace on Earth Stamp Set with VersaFine Onyx Black and Versamark and the same glitter embossing powder.

I hope you enjoyed! Thank so much for stopping by!

[Fun Friday] A2 Arch Window Skating Scene Card by Therese Calvrid

Hello! Therese here and today is all about creating a window scene and the new A2 Arch Window Die is perfect for this!

[Fun Friday] A2 Arch Window Skating Scene Card by Therese Calvrid

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

I stamped and blended a snowy scene on white cardstock cut with the largest A2 Nested Domes dies. Next I stamped and coloured the skating mice images from the Cold Hands stamp set then die cut them out with the matching dies.

To create my dome shaped card base I used the largest of the dome dies again to cut a topfold card ensuring not to cut all the way to the top. Then I could adhere the dome panel to the front of this card.

I die cut the A2 Arch Window Die and adhered it on top of the panel, attached both mice and added a little bird sitting on the top of the door.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a great day!

Therese

[Technique] Stamping Chevrons by Channin

[Technique] Stamping Chevrons by Channin

Hello everyone, it’s Channin here with a new technique video! This week I’m making chevrons with the new Plaid Play Stamp Set. In the video I demonstrate my method for stamping chevrons and I also show you how to create 3 different chevron designs with simple modifications to the same technique!

[Technique] Stamping Chevrons by Channin

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

First I cut an A2 panel in half vertically to create (2) 5.5” by 2.125” panels. I then positioned the largest solid stripe stamp from the Plaid Play Stamp Set in my MISTI at an angle with the help of the smaller triangle from the Creative Corners set. I then stamped a series of stripes in My Pleasure, Happy Go Lucky, Oh Happy Day, New Fish in Pond, and Peace of Mind till the half was completely covered. I then stamped the other half of the panel in the same process except with the strip flipped.

I then glued the halves onto an A2 panel, trimmed it down and adhered it to an A2 top-folding card base. Next, I diecut a circle out of vellum using the Flower Circles Die set. I then stamped and white heat embossed a sentiment and hearts from the Big Day Stamp Set. Lastly I added small strips of foam tape to the backside of the vellum, behind the sentiment and hearts and then adhered it to the center of the card.

For this card I followed the same steps as before to create the chevron stripes except this time I used a smaller solid stripe stamp from the Plaid Play Stamp Set and I some used different Waffle Flower Inks (Daydreaming, New Fish in Pond, Chirp Chirp, You Said What, Oh Happy Day, My Pleasure, Safe Choice, & Happy Go Lucky). I then cut the halves in half again vertically and then adhered them to an A2 panel.

I then trimmed the panel and adhered it to an A2 top-folding card base. I then diecut “good luck” out of white cardstock and craft foam using the Good Luck Word Die. I then trimmed off the luck portion with scissors and adhered the cardstock “good” and the craft foam “good” together. Next, I stamped and white heat embossed the rest of the sentiment using the Happy Day Stamp Set onto a strip of black cardstock. Lastly, I adhered all the portions of the sentiment onto the card front.

I also followed the same steps as before to create the chevron stripes as in card 1 except this time I didn’t cover the entire half. I also used a smaller stripe stamp and Peace of Mind, New Fish in Pond, You Said What, and Oh Happy Day inks.

I then adhered the halves to an A2 panel, trimmed the panel, and then adhered the panel onto an A2 top-fold card base. Lastly I created a sentiment in the same manner as I did for card 2 and I adhered it to the card front.

I hope you enjoyed. Thanks so much for stopping by!

[Interactive] Peek-A-Boo Panel Card by Katie Gehring

Hello Waffle Flower friends, Katie Gehring here to with a video to share with you today showing how to introduce a little Peek-a-Boo on your next card project.

[Interactive] Peek-A-Boo Panel Card by Katie Gehring

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

My card features the super cute Tea for Two stamp set and matching dies. By using the Lacy Layers 2 dies to cut a rectangle from the front of my card, I was able to create layers, dimension, lots of fun details, and a couple surprises without any extra bulk.

To add even more interest to the front of my card, I created a plaid pattern using the Plaid Play stamp set and several shades of Waffle Flower dye inks. The sentiments from the Bear and Bird stamp set compliment the Tea for Two scene perfectly. A complete list of my Waffle Flower supplies is below.

I hope you’ll take a peek at my video to see how this sweet tea party scene came together!

Thanks for stopping by!

[WIW] Plaid Boo Card by Laura Bassen

Hi there! Laura here and today I have a fun, colorful Halloween project to share featuring the Boo stamp set as well as the Plaid Play stamp set. I used several of the delicious Waffle Flower inks in rainbow colors, of course, to create my plaid pattern.

[WIW] Plaid Boo Card by Laura Bassen

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

I stamped the images from the Boo stamp set with Memento ink and colored them with Copics. Then I used the matching Boo dies to die cut each image out and popped them up with foam tape.

For the sentiment I embossed the "boo" in white onto black cardstock and then fussy cut it into a speech bubble.

Thanks for stopping by!

[In the Details] Monochrome Rainbow Cards by Nichol Spohr

Hello! Nichol here today with some Monochrome Rainbow Cards featuring the new Monochrome Dies as well as the new Scenery Dies. Images from the Monochrome Stamp Set were stamped with black ink and Waffle Flower My Pleasure, Oh Happy Day, You Said What, Chirp Chirp, Daydreaming, and Happy Go Lucky inks. The images were die cut with the coordinating dies.

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

Backgrounds were inked by masking off portions of cardstock with post it tape and using an Ink Duster to apply Waffle Flower My Pleasure, Oh Happy Day, You Said What, Chirp Chirp, Daydreaming, and Happy Go Lucky inks to form a rainbow rays background.

Borders were die cut from smooth white cardstock using a Scenery Die and layered along the bottom edge of the background. A greeting from the Monochrome Stamp Set was stamped on one of the cloud borders using black ink.

The images were adhered to the backgrounds as shown and the card was finished by applying Glossy accents to some of the images.

Thanks for stopping by!
