Hello everyone!! It’s Channin here and I’m back with a new technique video! This week’s technique is a combo, Markers Stripes and Inlaid Die Cuts! I had so much fun playing around with these two simple techniques, that I made 5 cards!! I just couldn’t stop playing with color combinations and experimenting with directions of the stripes. Hope you enjoy and maybe try it out for yourselves!

[TT Video] Marker Stripes with Inlaid Die Cuts by Channin

Watch below or on our YouTube channel. First, I traced around the medium square die from the Doily Square Die set on a scrap of white cardstock. I then selected my alcohol marker colors, lined them up in the order I wanted to use them and then made diagonal stripes on over my traced square using the chiseled tip on my markers. Next, I die cut my striped scrap with the medium and small square from the Square Doily Die set. I then rearranged my cuts to create a new pattern and adhered them onto a backing I created by die cutting the medium square from a scrap of white cardstock. Next, splattered some watered down black acrylic paint onto a 5 ¼” square card base (did not splatter on all my cards, I did however, on the one I created in the video). While my splatters dried, I die cut “celebrate” from white craft foam and white cardstock using the Celebrate Word Die. I then adhered these two together and then stamped and white embossed my sentiment from the Congrats Stamp Set on a strip of black cardstock. Next, I mounted my striped inlaid square on foam tape and I mounted onto my cardbase. Now because I wanted a portion of the “Celebrate” to hang off the inlaid panel I then die cut another craft foam “celebrate”, but this time I trimmed off most of the letters and only kept the last 3 and adhered them onto my previous “celebrate”. Next I adhered “celebrate” onto my card base. Then, I added foam tape to the tail end of “It’s your day” and then glued the rest onto my card base. I hope you enjoyed! [In the Details] Embellishing with Nuvo Drops & Ink Dusting with Nichol Spohr

Hello everyone! It's Nichol here for another "In the Details" for Friday! I stamped and embossed images from the Enveloper Kindness, Enveloper Hello, and a greeting from the Congrats stamp sets on smooth white cardstock using white embossing powder. An Ink Duster brush is a fantastic way to apply the Waffle Flower Oh Happy Day, Chirp Chirp, and New Fish In Pond over the embossed areas for embossed resist. The Ink Duster makes applying the ink smoothly without blotches SO super easy! It’s a fantastic way to create some great effects with dye inks!

[Video] Embellishing with Nuvo Drops & Ink Dusting

Watch it below or on our Youtube Channel Nuvo Crystal Drops are a quick and effective way to embellish the Enveloper Kindness and Enveloper Hello stamped and embossed images on these birthday greeting cards. Drops of all sizes can be created with the Nuvo drops and they add a bit of dimension, lots of color and so much interest to these images! The Nuvo drops work a lot like Glossy Accents as well. A dimensional greeting die cut from cardstock adhered to Fun Foam using the Celebrate Word die was finished with a layer of Nuvo Crystal Drops to add color and shine to each sentiment. Each card was finished with a stamped birthday greeting on the inside of each card using a Balloon Messages stamp set sentiment and the Oh Happy Day, Chirp Chirp, and New Fish In Pond inks. Supplies

Hello all!! It's Nichol here with another In the Details video! No line watercolored balloons is made super easy with Distress Inks and the balloon images from the Congrats and Balloon Messages Stamp Sets. I stamped the balloons on watercolor cardstock using four shades of Distress Ink and then used a water brush to pull the color from the stamped line and to add additional Distress Ink color when necessary. I love the soft look of the balloons against the Distress Inked background instead of a harsh, black stamped line. I added detailing to the inked background with second generation stamping of the “xoxo” and the small solid heart from the Balloon Messages Stamp Set. I added a stamped greeting from the Congrats Stamp Set with black ink, balloon strings from Balloon Messages stamped with the WF Like A Pro Ink, and a fun foam dimensional die cut greeting using the Celebrate Word Die customized with Distress Inks. An additional greeting from the Balloon Messages Stamp Set finish the inside of the card.

[Video]#TBT- Easy cards using Lacy Flower Mats dies

on December 29, 2016
Hello Waffle Flower friends, Katie here. Today, I have a video to share with you about how I created two quick and easy cards using the Lacy Flower Mats dies. The Lacy Flower Mats were designed to coordinate with the beautiful and intricate Lacy Flowers dies, but they make lovely flowers all on their own too! These cards were so simple that right out of the package, you don’t even have to snip apart the nested dies. I used elements from the Flower Circles stamp set to add a little details and interest to the flowers. I hope you’ll take a peek at my process and maybe think about how supporting products can be a stand out on your next project!

designteamheadshots_channinHello everyone!! It’s Channin here! Did you know that you don’t have to own watercolor paints to give watercoloring a try? Waffle Flower’s dye inks work really well with water! Because you can mix their inks with water you are able to play around with a lot of fun techniques ink smooshing and watercoloring. Check out today’s video to see how I use my dye inks to watercolor! ;)

[Technique Tuesday] Watercoloring with Ink

Watch below or on our YouTube channel. img_2420 First, I stamped a sentiment from the Congrats stamp set in versafine onyx black ink on a panel of watercolor paper. I then repeatedly stamped the flower/succulent from the First Step stamp set and a flower and a pair of leaves from the Leafy stamp set in Peace of Mind dye ink on my panel. img_2421 Next, I smooshed New Fish in Pond and Happy Go Lucky dye inks (aren’t these ink names so fun!) on my acrylic block and then misted them with water. I then pick up the watered down New Fish in Pond with a paint brush and painted the large flowers and the lower half of the small flowers. After I had painted all the flowers with New Fish in Pond, I moved onto Happy Go Lucky. I painted the centers of the large flowers and the upper portions of the small flowers with the Happy Go Lucky. Next, with just clean clear water I painted over leaves. img_2422 This re-activates the ink and adds a little color to open areas of the leaves. I then cleaned my block and then smooshed and misted Peace of Mind dye ink. I used this final ink to paint the bases of the small flowers. Next, I die cut 3 “celebrate” out of black cardstock using the Celebrate word die. I then adhered these together with multi-medium matte. Lastly, I added foam tape to the back of my watercolored panel, adhered it to a 5” by 7” white card base and then adhered my “celebrate” onto top.

designteamheadshots-nichol Hello everyone! Nichol here and today I'm sharing my design secrets for creating versatile cards that work for many different occasions! Watch my video below to see how I create multiple cards using the same design so I always have the right cards on hand when I need them!

[In the Details Video] Design Tips for Multi-Occasioned Cards by Nichol Spohr

Watch video below or on our YouTube Channel. wfc_20161111_babycongratscards_nicholspohr_1 I created both boy and girl versions of these baby balloons cards using the Balloon Messages Stamp Set & Dies and the Birthday Fishes Stamp Set & Dies. Both are the same design but I simply changed up the colors.   wfc_20161111_babycongratscards_nicholspohr_3 A bit of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen gives the balloons a nice shimmery shine while a bit of thin twine tied around the balloons gives them the perfect finishing touch. wfc_20161111_babycongratscards_nicholspohr_4 To keep the twine from coming undone in the mail, try sealing the knot with a bit of Glossy Accents. I used clear droplets for bubbles coming up from the fish balloon and added a scattering of iridescent star confetti to add interest to the background. wfc_20161111_babycongratscards_nicholspohr_2 The fishes eye is the perfect size to add a googly eye too for a fun, whimsical touch. I made the Congrats die cut greeting dimensional with a bit of fun foam. Thanks for stopping by!
