[In the Details] Tea for Two Trifold Card by Nichol Spohr

Hello there! Nichol here today with a trifold card featuring the new Tea For Two Stamp Set and coordinating dies. This adorable new set designed by Big Bear and Bird for Waffle Flower coordinates wonderfully with the previously released Happy Day Stamp Set. Multiple images from each stamp set were used to fill a trifold design card.

The card base was created from a 5 1/2” x 12” piece of Bristol Smooth Cardstock and inked with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. A border was die cut from another 12” long piece of Bristol Smooth Cardstock using a new Scenery Die. The border was inked with Peeled Paint Distress Ink. Both pieces were spritzed with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotted dry with a paper towel. The panels were scored 4” from each end to make the trifold design.

Images from the Tea For Two and Happy Day Stamp Sets were stamped on smooth white cardstock using black ink and colored in with Copic Markers before being die cut with the coordinating dies. The die cut images were adhered to the card as shown to build the extended scene. Greetings and thought bubbles from the Congrats Stamp Set were stamped on the panels to finish the design.

Thanks for stopping by!

Nichol

Hello! It's Debby here for this week's Watch It Wednesday.

I adore the bear from the Big Bear & Bird designs and so from the new Spring release I automatically reached for the Happy Day set first. Is there anything more adorable than a big bear on a bike!

I stamped a bunch of the images from the Happy Day set in black ink on Neenah Solar white card and copic coloured them before die cutting with their matching dies.

With the colouring complete I laid out the images and realised I wanted to make a long landscape card for my Spring scene. I cut a rectangle of white card and softly blended in pink, peach and light blue inks, which I then splattered with a solution of Perfect Pearls.

Laying out the images again on the ink blended background I realised I didn't have a lot of room for a sentiment so found a skinny 'congratulations' sentiment in the Popping In set which would work perfectly. I stamped the sentiment in clear embossing ink and then trimmed to a skinny strip.

I added all the elements with foam adhesive and then mounted the panel on a white top folding card base and added a few clear sequins to finish.

Thanks for calling by and I'll see you next time.
