[In the Details] Boo Halloween Shaker by Nichol Spohr

Hello there! Nichol here today with a Halloween shaker card featuring the Boo Stamp Set and coordinating dies. I find that my favorite shakers are ones where there is stuff going on inside the shaker, on the acetate window, and on the front of the frame! Even though this is a simple design, this adorable Halloween card is sweetly spooky and the interactive shaker element adds lots of fun!

The inside of the shaker was created by stamping the open moon image from the Starry Night Stamp Set on Bristol Smooth paper using Versamark Ink and heat embossing with white embossing powder. The moon and sky were watercolored and set aside to air dry. The front of the shaker was created by die cutting white cardstock with a Lacy Layers Die and a Flower Circles Inverted Die. The frames were secured together with adhesive and backed with a piece of acetate stamped with the spider web image from the Boo Stamp Set using white StazOn Ink.

The “boo” greeting was stamped in the lower right corner of the shaker frame using black ink. The rest of the images from the Boo Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating Boo Dies. The bats were adhered to the “inside” of the shaker and the rest of the images on the shaker front. Two layers of foam tape were used to frame up the shaker window and silver and clear star confetti and sequins were used to fill it.

Thanks for stopping by!

[In the Details] Plaid Play Background by Nichol Spohr

[In the Details] Plaid Play Background by Nichol Spohr

Hello! Nichol here today with my favorite way to create a custom stamped plaid background. The new Plaid Play Stamp Set creates all kinds of amazing plaid designs. I love stamping the lines at a diagonal as it tends to be more forgiving if you don’t get it stamped exactly straight. I also love using some sort of pigment ink as I find the coverage is more consistent. I love the Distress Oxide Inks for this technique and they layer to make the most awesome plaid designs!

I stamped the Plaid Play background using Fossilized Amber, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers, and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Inks. Balloons from the Congrats Stamp Set were stamped on white cardstock with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder before being inked with the same colors of Distress Oxide Ink. The balloons were adorned with thin twine and adhered to the card with foam adhesive and the strings wrapped around the back of the panel and secured with tape.

The Celebrate die was die cut from smooth white yardstick adhered to Fun Foam and adhered to the card as shown for a dimensional greeting. An additional greeting from the Congrats Stamp Set was stamped and embossed in white on black cardstock, cut into a thin strip and adhered below the dimensional die cut sentiment.

Backgrounds were inked by masking off portions of cardstock with post it tape and using an Ink Duster to apply Waffle Flower My Pleasure, Oh Happy Day, You Said What, Chirp Chirp, Daydreaming, and Happy Go Lucky inks to form a rainbow rays background.

Borders were die cut from smooth white cardstock using a Scenery Die and layered along the bottom edge of the background. A greeting from the Monochrome Stamp Set was stamped on one of the cloud borders using black ink.

The images were adhered to the backgrounds as shown and the card was finished by applying Glossy accents to some of the images.

Thanks for stopping by!

[In the Details] Tea for Two Trifold Card by Nichol Spohr

Hello there! Nichol here today with a trifold card featuring the new Tea For Two Stamp Set and coordinating dies. This adorable new set designed by Big Bear and Bird for Waffle Flower coordinates wonderfully with the previously released Happy Day Stamp Set. Multiple images from each stamp set were used to fill a trifold design card.

[In the Details] Tea for Two Trifold Card by Nichol Spohr

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

The card base was created from a 5 1/2” x 12” piece of Bristol Smooth Cardstock and inked with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. A border was die cut from another 12” long piece of Bristol Smooth Cardstock using a new Scenery Die. The border was inked with Peeled Paint Distress Ink. Both pieces were spritzed with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotted dry with a paper towel. The panels were scored 4” from each end to make the trifold design.

Images from the Tea For Two and Happy Day Stamp Sets were stamped on smooth white cardstock using black ink and colored in with Copic Markers before being die cut with the coordinating dies. The die cut images were adhered to the card as shown to build the extended scene. Greetings and thought bubbles from the Congrats Stamp Set were stamped on the panels to finish the design.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hello!! It's Nichole here and today I’m creating a set of clean and simple encouragement cards using only a single stamp set and just a few ink colors! The In Every Way Stamp Set flowers were repeatedly stamped on a background with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I used Daydreaming, New Fish In Pond, and Like A Pro Inks applied with an Ink Duster for the embossed resist look. Each background’s bottom edge was die cut with the Chunky Chevron die for a bit of a modern feel. Greetings were die cut from cardstock and fun foam using the Pefect, Amazing, and Awesome Word Dies. Additional words and phrases from the In Every Way Stamp Set were stamped on black or white cardstock and added to the design as shown. The florals in the background were finished with Nuvo Crystal Drops in the centers.

Hello!! It's Nichol here and I have another video for the In the Details series. The new Greenery Dies are perfect for creating a wreath shape to tuck a hiding monkey in from the Willy & Friends Stamp Set! This Thinking of You card features die cut leaves from Bristol Smooth Cardstock using the new Greenery Die Collection and inked with Lucky Clover, Mowed Lawn, and Twisted Citron Distress Inks.

[In the Details] Shimmery Greenery Wreath with Nichol Spohr

Watch below or on our YouTube channel. The leaves were spritzed with watered down Nuvo Mousse in Pure Platinum for a shimmery silver distressed look. To make adhering the leaves in the shape of a wreath or circle easier, the large Flower Circles Inverted Die was used to create a frame. The leaves were tucked on and around the frame. A monkey from the Willy & Friends Stamp Set was stamped with Coffee Loves Milk ink and colored in with the no line watercolor technique using Zig Clea Color Real Brush Markers. Willy was tucked among the leaves in the circle opening for a fun, whimsical touch! A greeting from the Lacy Flower Stamp Set was stamped below the wreath to finish the design. ~Nichol Products: Greenery Die Willy & Friends Stamp Set Willy & Friends Die Flower Circles Inverted Die Lacy Flower Stamp Set Coffee Loves Milk Dye Ink New Fish in Pond Dye Ink

Hello everyone! It's Nichol here for another "In the Details" for Friday! I stamped and embossed images from the Enveloper Kindness, Enveloper Hello, and a greeting from the Congrats stamp sets on smooth white cardstock using white embossing powder. An Ink Duster brush is a fantastic way to apply the Waffle Flower Oh Happy Day, Chirp Chirp, and New Fish In Pond over the embossed areas for embossed resist. The Ink Duster makes applying the ink smoothly without blotches SO super easy! It’s a fantastic way to create some great effects with dye inks!

[Video] Embellishing with Nuvo Drops & Ink Dusting

Watch it below or on our Youtube Channel Nuvo Crystal Drops are a quick and effective way to embellish the Enveloper Kindness and Enveloper Hello stamped and embossed images on these birthday greeting cards. Drops of all sizes can be created with the Nuvo drops and they add a bit of dimension, lots of color and so much interest to these images! The Nuvo drops work a lot like Glossy Accents as well. A dimensional greeting die cut from cardstock adhered to Fun Foam using the Celebrate Word die was finished with a layer of Nuvo Crystal Drops to add color and shine to each sentiment. Each card was finished with a stamped birthday greeting on the inside of each card using a Balloon Messages stamp set sentiment and the Oh Happy Day, Chirp Chirp, and New Fish In Pond inks. Supplies
