25 Days of Christmas Tags

Hello all! It's Channin here and we are thrilled to be joining Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags! This is such a fun and festive event with lots inspiration and prizes!

Today, I have a few christmas tags to share, one of which, a Pop-up Christmas Tree Tag, I created a video for!! But make sure to check out all the incredible inspiration over at Tracey's blog!

Pop-up Christmas Tree Tag by Channin

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

I had so much fun creating these christmas tree tags! I just love tags with lots of dimension and a ton of details. Even though it may not be too practical for mass producing, this little tag will definitely add a huge of wow factor to your gift!

I used the Pull Tab Tree Bundle (Pull Tab Tree Die, Pull-Tab Tree Pop-Up Add-On Die, & Christmas Tree Stamp Set) to create these tags. For the first tag I used green cardstock for the tree and then ink blended Distress Ink Pine Needles on all the branches. I also added snow using a Marvy Snow Marker and then finished the tree with Nuvo Crystal Drops in Autumn Red.

For other two tags I played with the design a bit and used white cardstock for the tree and ink blended with New Fish in Pond and Peace of Mind ink on the branches. I then embellished one tree with gold sequins and the other with Lucy's Cards' Rainbow Sparkle Jewels.

For the back of the tags I used the Christmas Tree Stamp Set (included in the Pull Tab Tree Bundle) and the A Homemade Christmas Stamp Set. I stamped everything in Versamark and then heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

For the next set of tags I use the Poinsettia Stamp Set and matching die. I stamped the poinsettia in a variety of Distress Oxides (Candied Apple, Barn Door, Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, Lucky Clover, Cracked Pistachio, Mowed Lawn, Fossilized Amber, Ground Espresso, Crushed Olive, & Vintage Photo).

Once stamped I die cut the flowers out with the matching die and then attached them to a tag created with the Dotted Tags Die Set. I also stamped a sentiment on the front of each tag in either a Distress Oxide or VersaMark and then heat embossed in gold.

I hope you enjoyed todays tags and video! Please head over to Tracey's blog to find out more info on the 25 Days of Christmas Tags event and for your chance to win one of the fabulous prizes!

Striped Moon & Stars Shaker Card by Channin

Hello everyone! It’s Channin here with a new video! Today I share how to create this colorful striped shaker card with the Moon & Stars Combo set. I just love the versatility of this set! Today I make a welcome baby themed card but you could easily use a different sentiment and palette and create a graduation card, an encouragement card, or even a simple I love you card.

Striped Moon & Stars Shaker Card by Channin

Watch below or on our Youtube channel.

First, I stamped the striped background using the Plaid Play Stamp Set and a variety of Waffle Flower dye inks (Happy Go Lucky, Safe Choice, Oh Happy Day, You Said What, Chirp Chirp, New Fish In Pond, & Daydreaming) on an A2 panel of white cardstock. Next, I die cut the Moon & Stars Panel die from white cardstock, making sure to die cut the strips of stars twice. I then silver heat embossed a sentiment from the Moon & Stars Stamp Set onto the panel and silver heat embossed the large die cut moon as well. Next I die cut two frames out of craft foam using the Rainbow Panel Die and adhered them together.

I then adhered the die cut strips of stars to the Moon & Stars panel and then adhered a panel of acetate to the back. Next, I adhered the foam frame to the striped panel and then filled the panel with my shaker components (Little Things by Lucy’s Cards: Sprinkles - Star Bright, Little Things by Lucy’s Cards: Diamonds - Dewdrop, & silver sequins). I then finished the card by adhering the front panel over the striped panel, then adhered the embossed moon too the acetate, and finally adhered the shaker panel to an A2 top-folding card base.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and video! Thanks for stopping by!

United We Flourish: Stitched Together Stamp Set and Matching Die

Hello!! We are so excited to share an amazing set that we created with our friends from Ellen Hutson LLC! With some amazing designs by Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery we have have created a new layering cross stitch stamp set and matching die called Stitched Together. This set is exclusive to Waffle Flower Crafts and Ellen Hutson LLC for the United We Flourish program. To learn more about the UWF program visit our friends at Ellen Hutson by clicking HERE.

Let’s take a look at this fun and unique stamp set and matching die!

The Stitched Together Stamp Set and matching die is a wonderful addition to our stitched collection. Many of our other stitched products would work beautifully with the Stitched Together Combo, I even incorporate a couple in my cards. Let's check them out!

Stitched Together Stamp Set & Matching Die

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

First, I die cut 3 globes using the Stitched Together matching die out of 110 lb white cardstock. I then used the cardstock I die cut the globes out of as a jig, place it in my MISTI, popped in one of the diecuts and then positioned the first stamp for the globe image. I chose to start with the "stand" layer and stamped this layer on each one of the die cuts.

Two I gold embossed and one I stamped in Versafine Onyx Black. With that layer stamped I then positioned the next layer (water) and then stamped that layer on all the die cuts.

For the water, I stamped two in New Fish in Pond and Peace of Mind and one in Versafine. I repeated this process for the remaining two layers.

I stamped the flowers in Tickled Pink and My Pleasure and the leaves in Distress Oxide Crack Pistachio and Distress Ink Lucky Clover. I also die cut and stamped 3 hearts using the same jig technique.

With my globes all and hearts stamped I moved onto adding some texture my panels.

I started with 3 panels (2 white, 1 black) die cut with the largest die from A2 Nesting Rectangles 1 Die set. I then used the stitched dies from the 7 Skeins Floss Bobbin Die set to add texture to all the panels.

Next, I stamped sentiments from the Stitched Together Stamp Set on each panel. Lastly, I adhered the panels to A2 top-folding card bases and then attached the globes with foam tape and the hearts with glue.

I hope you enjoyed! Thanks for stopping by!

[Fun Friday] Rectangle Frame Card by Therese

Hello! Therese here and today it’s time to make a Rectangle Frame Card!

[Fun Friday] Rectangle Frame Card by Therese

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

To begin I used the A2 Nesting Rectangle 2 Dies to decorate and die cut my frame. Then I added some simple score lines before folding it to fit the front of my card. I added a sweet Copic colored elephant from the Jungle Birthday set and gave him a balloon to hold from Balloon Messages Set.

To finish my scene I added some white marble clouds using the Layering Marble Stamp Set in the background. The sentiment I used came from the Rock On Stamp Set and was stamped with the New Fish In Pond Ink.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a great day!

[Fun Friday] Simple Multi-Colored Die Cuts by Therese

Hello! Therese here with a new video! Today is all about an easy way to achieve the multi-colored die cut look without all the die cutting, and it’s soo simple to do.

[Fun Friday] Simple Multi-Colored Die Cuts by Therese

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

To start things off I die cut the beautiful Make a Fish die in white cardstock and added my own color using Copic markers, and I could even add some shading!

I used the Stitched Layers dies to cut a panel for my background and added a ‘watery’ effect with inks. Then I used the co-ordinating stamp set for my ‘So-Fish-Ticated’ sentiment which I stamped with the New Fish In Pond ink.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a great day!

[Technique] Silhouetted Scene with Rainbow Background by Channin

Hello all! It’s Channin here with a new technique video! Today I have a fun idea for your stamps that are more solid or less linear. With the current coloring trend in full force these types of stamps often get forgotten, which is a shame because there are so many fun techniques and creative designs you can only do/create with these more solid stamps sets. In today’s video I demonstrate how to create a simple scene in silhouette that just pops with a bright rainbow stamped background.

[Technique] Silhouetted Scene with Rainbow Background by Channin

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

First, I created a rainbow background by repeatedly stamping a stripe stamp from the Plaid Play Stamp Set with my MISTI on an A2 white card base in a rainbow of Waffle Flower Inks (You Said What, Chirp Chirp, Daydreaming, New Fish in Pond, Happy Go Lucky, Oh Happy Day, My Pleasure, & Safe Choice).

Next, I stamped several images from the Morning Stamp Set in VersaFine Onyx Black onto the card front. Once, all the images were stamped, I stamped a sentiment from the Flower Circles Stamp Set. Lastly, I added a few accents and a shadow to the sentiment with a white gel pen.

And that's it! I hope you all enjoyed! Thanks so much for stopping by!

[Technique] Ombre Backgrounds with Border Dies by Channin

Hello everyone! It’s Channin here with a new technique video! Today I’m sharing a simple and fun way to create backgrounds that are prefect for framing your stamped images or even large sentiments.

[Technique] Ombre Backgrounds with Border Dies by Channin

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

Card 1

First I die cut a mask using the scalloped die from the Scenery Die set from some contact paper. I then removed the backing and placed the mask at the upper third of an A2 white card base. I then ink blended a very light layer of WF’s You Said What Dye Ink over the upper portion of the card with a mini ink blending tool. I then removed the mask, re-aligned it and then moved it upward 1/4” and then blended more You Said What to make a slightly darker shade of yellow.

Next, I repeated the process one more time to create a darker third layer. I then flipped my mask around and repeated the whole process again on the lower third of the card. With my back ground complete, I stamped and copic colored images from the Rock On Stamp Set and then die cut them out with the matching dies. Lastly, I adhered the images onto the card front with foam tape.

Card 2

I followed the same process for this second card as I did the first, just using different products. I also cut a mask from contact paper but this time I used the Chunky Chevron Die. I then placed the mask on an A2 card base made from white cardstock and then blended with WF’s New Fish in Pond Dye Ink. I made the 3 layers at the top and bottom portions of my card by sliding the mask up and blending just as I did with the first card.

I then stamped and copic colored an image from the Rock On Stamp Set. I also stamped a sentiment and some music notes from this set on the front of my card with Memento Tuxedo Black. Lastly, I adhered my colored image with foam tape to the front.

I hope you enjoyed! Thanks so much for stopping by!

I went all out and created a fun shaker snow globe card to celebrate this festive event! Plus I made video demonstrating all the steps and I also highlight how to stretch your dies with the partial die-cutting technique.

[Technique] Altering Diecuts with Partial Die-cutting by Channin

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

First, I stamped a plaid background onto a A2 panel made from red cardstock using the Plaid Play Stamp Set and Fired Brick Distress Ink. I then partial die-cut the second largest dome die from the A2 Nested Dome Die set on the plaid panel. Then using an x-acto knife I cut between the ends of the dome and then removed the inner dome. Next, I stamped one of the layers from the Layering Woodgrain Stamp Set in Distress Oxide Iced Spruce on a gray cardstock. I then diecut the largest base from the A2 Nested Dome Die set on from the stamped gray cardstock. I then adhered the base to the plaid panel and then placed the panel over an A2 panel of white craft foam and an A2 panel of white cardstock and traced around the dome opening. Next, I cut out the dome from the craft foam and set it aside.

I then constructed my small house using the Pop-up House Die to make all the components and alcohol markers to color them. I also colored, diecut, and stamped 3 trees from the Cold Hands Stamp Set and matching dies. Then with a hand cut mask, I ink blended some snow drifts/hills with New Fish in Pond Dye Ink on the white panel. I also hand cut another layer of snow drifts/hills from white cardstock and also ink blended the tops. I then stamped a sentiment from the A Homemade Christmas Stamp Set in Candied Apple Distress Oxide onto the white panel. Next, I adhered all my scene elements for the snow globe onto the white panel. I then adhered the craft foam panel onto the white panel and then poured clear glitter into the well created by the craft foam. Next, I adhered the acetate onto the backside of the plaid panel and then adhered the panel onto the craft foam. Lastly, I adhered the panel onto an A2 card base made from red cardstock.

[Fun Friday] A2 Nested Domes Die Cookie Jar by Therese

Hello all! It's Therese here and today is all about stretching the A2 Nested Domes Dies and I thought it would be perfect to combine these with the new Little Bakers Stamp Set to create a fun cookie jar.

[Fun Friday] A2 Nested Domes Die Cookie Jar by Therese

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

Firstly, I stamped and colored the images I needed and cut them out using the Little Bakers Matching Die Set. To create my cookie jar I cut a dome in acetate and stamped the Layering Woodgrain on some pink cardstock with the Happy Go Lucky ink.

I die cut the base and knob for the cookie jar from this. My sentiment speech bubble is from the Monochrome Stamp Set and was stamped with New Fish in Pond ink. Finally, I popped all of these up on the front of a topfold white card base.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a great day!
