[Interactive] Let Love Grow Pull Tab Card by Channin

Hello all! It’s Channin here with a new card video to share. In today’s video I demonstrate how to create this happy pull tab card with the new Let Love Grow set and Pull Tabs Die.

[Interactive] Let Love Grow Pull Tab Card by Channin

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

To start, I first stamped the two strawberry sprites and a butterfly from the Let Love Grow Stamp Set in VersaFine Onyx Black on Canson Coldpress watercolor paper. I then watercolored the images with Distress inks; Candied Apple, Scattered Straw, Spiced Marmalade, Lucky Clover, Crushed Olive, and Cracked Pistachio.

Once I finished watercoloring all the images I die cut them out with the matching dies. Next, I ink blended WFC’s Tickled Pink Dye Ink at the upper quarter of an A2 panel of pink cardstock. I then stamped my sentiment in VersaFine Onyx black at the bottom right corner of a 2 1/2” x 5 1/2” scrap of green cardstock. Next, I ink blended Lucky Clover at the upper portion of the and then die cut the scrap with the Scenery Die to create a grassy hill.

I then constructed my pull tab on the pink panel using the Pull Tabs Die. With my pull tab complete, I then adhered my panel onto an A2 card base and then adhered one of the sprites to the pull tab. Lastly, I adhered the grass/hill and the rest of the images to the card front with foam tape.

I hope you enjoyed today’s video and card! Thanks so much for stopping by!

[WIW] Wild Birthday Card by Channin

Hello! It’s Channin here for Waffle Flower’s Watch It Wednesday! In today’s video I create this fun and playful birthday card. I used the new Jungle Birthday and Limo Ride Stamps and Dies with the Apartment Builder Die and 9 Grids Die to create a wild party scene!

[WIW] Wild Birthday Card by Channin

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

First, I die cut a grid panel using the 9 Grids Die, a roof with the Apartment Builder Die Set and a scalloped border with the Scenery Die Set from 110lb white cardstock. I then trimmed a square panel to fit behind the 9 grid panel and then cut and folded an A2 top-folding card base (4.25” x 11”, scored and folded at 5.5”) also from 110lb white cardstock. Next, I made a mask with the scalloped die from the Scenery Die Set and contact paper. I then ink blended Distress Oxide over the grid panel and Waffle Flower’s Like a Pro over the roof. Next I ink blended Waffle Flower’s You Said What over the square panel using the straight side of the mask to blend in rows to add warmth to the windows. I then blended a cloudy sky at the top half of the card base using the scalloped side of the mask and Memento Bahama Blue. I then finished up my blending by blending Distress Oxide Twisted Citron and Waffle Flower’s Chirp Chirp to the lower portion of my card base and the scalloped border. Next, I die cut the 9 Grids Die and the roof from the Apartment Builder Die out of craft foam and set all the die cut pieces aside.

I then stamped, copic colored, and die cut with the matching dies several images from the Jungle Birthday and Limo Ride sets. I then adhered the cardstock grid to the craft foam grid and then the pair to the square panel. Next, I adhered the cardstock roof and craft foam roof together and then set the gird and roof aside. I then added foam tape to the backside of all the images except the balloons and banner and then adhered them to the 9 grid. I then adhered the balloons and banner to the grid and then adhered the grid to the card base. Lastly, I adhered the roof and scallop border to the card front. I

hope you enjoyed today’s video and card! Thank you so much for stopping in!

[Technique] Nesting Dies Shaker Cards (No foam tape!) by Channin

Hello everyone! It's Channin here and I am super excited to share with you today’s technique video! In today’s video I demonstrate how to create shaker cards using your nesting die sets, best part these shaker cards don’t require any foam tape!! Today I will make a colorful rainbow shaker card using the very versatile A2 Nested Dome Die set to create the well for the shaker contents and complete the card with a hot air balloon from the Across the Miles Stamp Set.

[Technique] Nesting Dies Shaker Cards (No foam tape!) by Channin

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

I started with 2 A2 panels (4.25” x 5.5”) of light blue cardstock for the sky and 5 more A2 panels of colored cardstock (pink, red, yellow, mint, & blue) for the rainbow. I die cut a dome from one of the light blue panels with the second largest die from the A2 Nested Dome Die set. I then die cut a dome frame from the pink panel using the largest and second largest dome die. Next, I continued to die cut with a dome die in descending order from each of the remaining rainbow panels (red, yellow, mint, & blue), starting with the red panel and the third largest dome die. Once all my panels were cut I glued the layers together, starting with the blue panel to the un-cut light blue panel, then the mint, then the yellow, and then finally the red to create the well for my shaker contents.

I then created the top of my shaker by gluing the die cut light blue panel to a panel of acetate and then gluing the pink from on top. I then filled the well with sequins and glitter and sealed it up by gluing to top to the well. Next, I stamped and copic colored the large hot air balloon from the Across the Miles Stamp Set and then die cut it out with the matching dies. I then created a cloud using a scrap of white cardstock and the Scenery Die. I then stamped a sentiment from the Doily Circle Stamp Set in Versafine Onyx Black on the cloud. Lastly, I adhered the shaker panel to an A2 top-folding card base (4.25” x 11”, scored and folded at 5.5”) then glued the cloud and balloon to the front of the card.

I used the A2 Nested Domes Die set to create the shaker for this card as well. I used the same colored cardstocks for the rainbow but this one was a little simpler because I didn’t make a frame with the pink panel like I did with the previous card.

I started with an A2 panel of white cardstock and the 2nd largest dome die then worked my way through the remaining dies in descending order with the rest of the colored panels. I finished this shaker off with a butterfly from the Pretty Butterflies Die set.

For this final card I used the Stitched Layers Die to create the shaker. I wanted to show you all this card because I this die set only has only 3 layers yet I was still able to create a well deep enough to house the shaker contents.

Plus with this card didn’t create a rainbow but more of an ombre look by choosing colored cardstocks in different tones but from the same color family.

I hope you enjoyed! Thanks so much for stopping by!

[WIW] Make a Fish Valentine by Channin

Hello everyone! It’s Channin here for Watch It Wednesday! In today’s video I will demonstrate how to create this sweet fish valentine using the new Make a Fish Die and stamp set. Plus I share some helpful storage/organization tips for layering die sets.

[WIW] Make a Fish Valentine by Channin

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

First, I divided all the Make a Fish Die pieces into 6 groups (there are 6 different colors/layers), using the Make a Fish guide sheet as a reference. I then colored 6 sections of white cardstock with my alcohol markers, making sure all the dies in that particular grouping could fit within its colored section. Next I arranged the dies into their sections and die cut all the dies from the Make a Fish Die. I then adhered all the die cuts together using liquid adhesive. Once the fish was all adhered, using my alcohol markers, I added some shading to some of the details.

I then created a wave background using a mask I made using the Scenery Die and some contact paper. I simply ink blended a little New Fish in Pond Dye Ink over the mask on the front of an A2 card base and simply repeated the process for each wave. Lastly, I partially inked and stamped a sentiment from the Make A Fish Stamp Set and the Pawsome Stamp Set in Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry and Candied Apple to create a gradation and added some Ranger Enamel Accents to the eye.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project! Thanks so much for stopping by!

[Technique] Ombre Backgrounds with Border Dies by Channin

Hello everyone! It’s Channin here with a new technique video! Today I’m sharing a simple and fun way to create backgrounds that are prefect for framing your stamped images or even large sentiments.

[Technique] Ombre Backgrounds with Border Dies by Channin

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

Card 1

First I die cut a mask using the scalloped die from the Scenery Die set from some contact paper. I then removed the backing and placed the mask at the upper third of an A2 white card base. I then ink blended a very light layer of WF’s You Said What Dye Ink over the upper portion of the card with a mini ink blending tool. I then removed the mask, re-aligned it and then moved it upward 1/4” and then blended more You Said What to make a slightly darker shade of yellow.

Next, I repeated the process one more time to create a darker third layer. I then flipped my mask around and repeated the whole process again on the lower third of the card. With my back ground complete, I stamped and copic colored images from the Rock On Stamp Set and then die cut them out with the matching dies. Lastly, I adhered the images onto the card front with foam tape.

Card 2

I followed the same process for this second card as I did the first, just using different products. I also cut a mask from contact paper but this time I used the Chunky Chevron Die. I then placed the mask on an A2 card base made from white cardstock and then blended with WF’s New Fish in Pond Dye Ink. I made the 3 layers at the top and bottom portions of my card by sliding the mask up and blending just as I did with the first card.

I then stamped and copic colored an image from the Rock On Stamp Set. I also stamped a sentiment and some music notes from this set on the front of my card with Memento Tuxedo Black. Lastly, I adhered my colored image with foam tape to the front.

I hope you enjoyed! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hello! It's Yainea here for Fun Friday! For this month, I made a shaker card using the Cold Hands stamp set.

[Fun Friday] Christmas Shaker Card by Yainea

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

I colored the background of my scene with Distress Oxide inks and colored the mice with Copic markers. To create the snowy floor I used the Scenery dies. To create the shaker part, I used the Lacy Layers dies to create a frame and glued a piece of acetate on its back, then I adhered that to my background with foam adhesive after adding some sequins. For the sentiment, I die cut some letters with the Cutaway Alpha dies and to add more detail to my card I stamped repeatedly the trees from the Cold Hands stamp set on the card base.

Have a nice day!

[Fun Friday] The Seasons Z Fold Card featuring Xyron Adhesives

Hello Waffle Flower Friends, Katie here with a fun fold technique that gives you lots of glorious space to feature all the adorable images that you want to use from your favorite stamp sets.

The Z-fold card is a twist on the trifold card except the folded seams are along the 4.25 sides of a standard A2 card instead of along the longer 5.5" sides. When you flip the card open, your scene can go on for miles, or great depths in this case.

My Z-fold card uses The Season stamp set and matching die. I love all the adorable aquatic images in The Season stamp set and the Z-fold card gave me all the space I needed to use all the stamps.

I created a video to show you step by step how to put this card together. Adhesives from Xyron including the Mega Runner and the 2.5” Create a Sticker machine made assembling the card so easy.

I hope you’ll take a peek and check it out! Thanks for stopping by!

[Interactive] Halloween Slider Card by Katie Gehring

Hello Waffle Flower friends! Katie Gehring here with a fun and interactive card video to share with you on this fine Friday. I combined the Boo stamp set and matching dies with the Scenery dies to make a Halloween Slider Card.

First I stamped and colored the images using Copic markers. I die cut the images using the matching Boo dies and set them aside to build the background using two panels of Distress Watercolor Card Stock and Distress Oxide inks in Faded Jeans, Seedless Preserves and Picked Raspberry. I repeated the background blending onto the second panel of card stock so that the background visible through the slider track would match. The long road die from the Scenery Dies makes a perfect slider track and the scalloped edge die creates puffy clouds in the evening sky.

To build space between the two layers of card stock allowing for the slider element to move freely up and down the track, I started with a layer of foam tape and followed up with a layer of adhesive backed fun foam. Adhesive backed fun foam is an economical alternative to foam tape and combining the two helped create the depth I needed while conserving my supply of foam tape.
