[Technique] Magnetic Interactive Card with Xyron by Channin

Hello everyone! It’s Channin here with a fun interactive card using some awesome products by Xyron! Today’s card is perfect for little ones, its practically a gift itself. With magnets I create a card that allows the recipient to create their own scene over and over again!

First, I stamped and copic colored several images from the Tea for Two and Pawsome Stamp Set, as well as a sentiment from the Across the Miles Stamp Set. I then trimmed slightly around the images that I wanted to add magnet tape too. I then ran these images through the Xyron 1.5” Sticker Maker filled with a Magnet Cartridge. I then die cut the now magnetic images using the matching dies. Next, I stamped and copic colored a couple more images on an A2 panel made from 65lb white cardstock. You definitely want to use thinner weight cardstock for this panel because it will be covering a large magnet panel that the images will need to stick to later.

Next, I masked the images on the panel and then placed a hand cut contact paper mask over the upper portion of the panel and then ink blended distress oxides (Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover) to create the look of grass. I then removed the contact paper mask and then blended more distress oxides (Broken China and Salty Ocean) to create the sky. I then sprinkled a little bit of water over the panel and then used a paper towel to pick up the water droplets. Next, I die cut a frame from 110lb white cardstock and a magnet panel from a magnetic adhesive sheet using the Stitched Layers Die. I then created a simple envelop by die cutting a sheet of vellum with a die from the Lacy Layers 5x7 Die set. Then I folded the vellum almost in half, leaving a 3/4” strip at the top. I then folded this strip over to create a lip and then sealed the side seams with score tape and also added score tape to the back so it can be attached to the card.

Next, I debossed the front of an A2 110lb white card base with a die from the Lacy Layers Die set. I then decorated the front with some of the non-magnetic images that I colored earlier. I then stuck the vellum envelope to the back of the card front. Finally, I adhered the frame to the inside of the card. Then I added the magnetic panel inside and then glued the blended panel over the magnetic panel by placing liquid glue along the cardstock frame. Lastly, I tucked all the magnetic images inside the vellum envelope and sealed it shut with some washi tape.

I hope you enjoyed! Thanks for stopping by!

[WIW] Window Card + Perfectly Aligned Die Cuts by Amanda

Hello everyone! Amanda here with a window card for you where I will also show you a couple of tricks for using die cuts.

I always find it very difficult to align stamped images and coordinating dies, that's why i like to use a technique that gives me perfect results. You can watch the video for details.

Once I had all the images from Bear & Bird and and Tea for Two were ready, I colored them using Copic Markers and also added color to the background with Distress ink. To create the window I used one of the rectangles from Lacy Layers 5 x 7 and die cut it partially to get those stitched lines.

Then I stamped a sentiment from the Congrats Stamp Set in one of the panels, arranged all the images the way I wanted them and sticked both panels to the card using foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by and see you next time!

Amanda

[Interactive] Tea for Two Pop Up Card by Yainea

Hi there! It's Yainea here and this week I made a Pop Up card using the super cute images from Tea For Two stamps and dies on both the front and the inside of my card and I colored them with watercolors.

To create my sentiment, I used the Cutaway Alpha dies, it really adds a special touch to the front.

To create the pop up mechanism I added a piece of cardstock that I previously die cut with the scalloped die from the Scenery dies and colored with green ink to look like a grassy ground. I added another piece like this on the front of the card to match the inside look.

[Interactive] Peek-A-Boo Panel Card by Katie Gehring

Hello Waffle Flower friends, Katie Gehring here to with a video to share with you today showing how to introduce a little Peek-a-Boo on your next card project.

My card features the super cute Tea for Two stamp set and matching dies. By using the Lacy Layers 2 dies to cut a rectangle from the front of my card, I was able to create layers, dimension, lots of fun details, and a couple surprises without any extra bulk.

To add even more interest to the front of my card, I created a plaid pattern using the Plaid Play stamp set and several shades of Waffle Flower dye inks. The sentiments from the Bear and Bird stamp set compliment the Tea for Two scene perfectly. A complete list of my Waffle Flower supplies is below.

I hope you’ll take a peek at my video to see how this sweet tea party scene came together!

Thanks for stopping by!

Katie

[In the Details] Tea for Two Trifold Card by Nichol Spohr

[In the Details] Tea for Two Trifold Card by Nichol Spohr

Hello there! Nichol here today with a trifold card featuring the new Tea For Two Stamp Set and coordinating dies. This adorable new set designed by Big Bear and Bird for Waffle Flower coordinates wonderfully with the previously released Happy Day Stamp Set. Multiple images from each stamp set were used to fill a trifold design card.

[In the Details] Tea for Two Trifold Card by Nichol Spohr

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

The card base was created from a 5 1/2” x 12” piece of Bristol Smooth Cardstock and inked with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. A border was die cut from another 12” long piece of Bristol Smooth Cardstock using a new Scenery Die. The border was inked with Peeled Paint Distress Ink. Both pieces were spritzed with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotted dry with a paper towel. The panels were scored 4” from each end to make the trifold design.

Images from the Tea For Two and Happy Day Stamp Sets were stamped on smooth white cardstock using black ink and colored in with Copic Markers before being die cut with the coordinating dies. The die cut images were adhered to the card as shown to build the extended scene. Greetings and thought bubbles from the Congrats Stamp Set were stamped on the panels to finish the design.

Thanks for stopping by!

Nichol
