United We Flourish: Stitched Together Stamp Set and Matching Die

Hello!! We are so excited to share an amazing set that we created with our friends from Ellen Hutson LLC! With some amazing designs by Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery we have have created a new layering cross stitch stamp set and matching die called Stitched Together. This set is exclusive to Waffle Flower Crafts and Ellen Hutson LLC for the United We Flourish program. To learn more about the UWF program visit our friends at Ellen Hutson by clicking HERE.

Let’s take a look at this fun and unique stamp set and matching die!

The Stitched Together Stamp Set and matching die is a wonderful addition to our stitched collection. Many of our other stitched products would work beautifully with the Stitched Together Combo, I even incorporate a couple in my cards. Let's check them out!

Stitched Together Stamp Set & Matching Die

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

First, I die cut 3 globes using the Stitched Together matching die out of 110 lb white cardstock. I then used the cardstock I die cut the globes out of as a jig, place it in my MISTI, popped in one of the diecuts and then positioned the first stamp for the globe image. I chose to start with the "stand" layer and stamped this layer on each one of the die cuts.

Two I gold embossed and one I stamped in Versafine Onyx Black. With that layer stamped I then positioned the next layer (water) and then stamped that layer on all the die cuts.

For the water, I stamped two in New Fish in Pond and Peace of Mind and one in Versafine. I repeated this process for the remaining two layers.

I stamped the flowers in Tickled Pink and My Pleasure and the leaves in Distress Oxide Crack Pistachio and Distress Ink Lucky Clover. I also die cut and stamped 3 hearts using the same jig technique.

With my globes all and hearts stamped I moved onto adding some texture my panels.

I started with 3 panels (2 white, 1 black) die cut with the largest die from A2 Nesting Rectangles 1 Die set. I then used the stitched dies from the 7 Skeins Floss Bobbin Die set to add texture to all the panels.

Next, I stamped sentiments from the Stitched Together Stamp Set on each panel. Lastly, I adhered the panels to A2 top-folding card bases and then attached the globes with foam tape and the hearts with glue.

I hope you enjoyed! Thanks for stopping by!

[Interactive] Let Love Grow Pull Tab Card by Channin

Hello all! It’s Channin here with a new card video to share. In today’s video I demonstrate how to create this happy pull tab card with the new Let Love Grow set and Pull Tabs Die.

[Interactive] Let Love Grow Pull Tab Card by Channin

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

To start, I first stamped the two strawberry sprites and a butterfly from the Let Love Grow Stamp Set in VersaFine Onyx Black on Canson Coldpress watercolor paper. I then watercolored the images with Distress inks; Candied Apple, Scattered Straw, Spiced Marmalade, Lucky Clover, Crushed Olive, and Cracked Pistachio.

Once I finished watercoloring all the images I die cut them out with the matching dies. Next, I ink blended WFC’s Tickled Pink Dye Ink at the upper quarter of an A2 panel of pink cardstock. I then stamped my sentiment in VersaFine Onyx black at the bottom right corner of a 2 1/2” x 5 1/2” scrap of green cardstock. Next, I ink blended Lucky Clover at the upper portion of the and then die cut the scrap with the Scenery Die to create a grassy hill.

I then constructed my pull tab on the pink panel using the Pull Tabs Die. With my pull tab complete, I then adhered my panel onto an A2 card base and then adhered one of the sprites to the pull tab. Lastly, I adhered the grass/hill and the rest of the images to the card front with foam tape.

I hope you enjoyed today’s video and card! Thanks so much for stopping by!

[Technique] Faux Bejeweling with Cross Stitch Stamps by Channin

Hello all! It’s Channin here with a new technique video to share. This week I have a new spin on Waffle Flower’s cross stitch stamp sets. In today’s video I combine Nuvo Jewel Drops with several WF cross stitch stamp sets (Stitched Cacti, Stitched Cup for Tea, Stitched Peonies) to create a fun bejeweled look.

[Technique] Faux Bejeweling with Cross Stitch Stamps by Channin

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

First, I stamped a cactus from the Stitched Cacti Stamp Set in distress oxides (cracked pistachio, twisted citron, abandoned coral, wild honey). Then with Nuvo Jewel Drops, I made small drops on each one of the x’s in the image with the corresponding jewel drop color (Key Lime, Strawberry Coulis, Limoncello).

Once the drops were dry I added Black Tie Enamel Accents to the eyes. When the entire image was dry, I fussy cut the cactus out. I then stamped a sentiment from the Hello Stamp Set in VersaFine Onyx Black onto a yellow A2 top-folding card base (4.25” x 11”, scored and folded at 5.5”). Lastly, I added the cactus with foam tape.

For these two cards, I used all the same distress oxide inks as before except I didn’t use Wild Honey and stamped the pots in WF’s Daydreaming Dye Ink instead. I used all the same Nuvo Jewel Drops as previously with the addition of Sea Breeze for the pots. I also used a sentiment from the Hoppy Stamp Set.

For this card I used the Stitched Cup of Tea Stamp Set and WF inks Tickled Pink, My Pleasure, You Said What, and Oh Happy Day for the images.

I used Strawberry Coulis, Limoncello and Rosewater Nuvo drops and the sentiment is from the Books & Coffee Stamp Set.

For this last card, I used the Stitched Peonies Stamp Set with WF inks Tickled Pink, My Pleasure, and Oh Happy Day and Distress Oxide Cracked Pistachio for the leaves and stems. This stamp set has a matching die so I used the die instead of fussy cutting these flowers.

I also used Strawberry Coulis, Limoncello, Rosewater, and Key Lime Nuvo drops and the Embroidered Greeting for the sentiment.

I hope you enjoyed! Thanks for stopping by!

[Fun Friday] Ombre Background with Small Stamps by Amanda

Hi there everyone! It's Amanda here and today I will show you how to create an ombré background using small stamps from the set "Stitched Love".

[Fun Friday] Ombre Background with Small Stamps by Amanda

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

I used my MISTI tool to stamp each of the bigger hearts twice. The first time I used a dye ink on the whole stamp, while the second one I inked up only one side of the heart with a Distress Oxide ink. This gave them a really cool dimension and made the background more interesting.

To frame the sentiment I die cut a small rectangle with the Stitched Layers dies and stamped it in the middle with black ink. I also added a few sequins and tiny black dots to finish up my card.

You will find all the details in the video tutorial. Thank you so much for stopping by and see you next time!

Thank you! Have a great day!

Amanda

[Technique] Offset Rainbow Sentiment by Channin

Hello everyone! It’s Channin here with a new technique video! In today’s video I’m doing a lot of stamping to create this colorful Christmas card! By simply stamping a sentiment slightly offset and repeatedly in a rainbow of colors, I create a dimensional and unique one-layer card.

[Technique] Offset Rainbow Sentiment by Channin

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

First, I arranged all the letters in “Christmas”, except for the last “s”, from the Cutaway Alpha Stamp Set on my MISTI. I then stamped the letters in Daydreaming Dye Ink onto an A2 white card base. I then slid the card upward 1/16”, keeping the side of the card against the side of MISTI, and stamped the letters in a new color (Happy Go Lucky Dye Ink). I repeated this process for several more Waffle Flower inks (Tickled Pink, My Pleasure, Oh Happy Day, You Said What, Chirp Chirp, & New Fish in Pond) and then finished with a final layer in VersaFine Onyx Black. I then thoroughly dried my card with my heat gun.

Next I removed only the “s” from my MIST and then flipped my MISTI around and then positioned the “s” at the end of the word. I then repeatedly stamped the “s” in exactly the same manner as I stamped the rest of the letters. I then heat set my card, repositioned it in the MISTI, and then stamped the “s” in Versamark and heat embossed with glitter embossing powder. I then embossed the rest of the letters in Christmas, by first repositioning the “s” using the card as a guide. Lastly, I stamped and heat embossed “Merry” and some flourishes from the Peace on Earth Stamp Set with VersaFine Onyx Black and Versamark and the same glitter embossing powder.

I hope you enjoyed! Thank so much for stopping by!

[WIW] Poinsettias and Layered Woodgrain Background by Amanda

Hi there! It's Amanda here and today I'm using two stamp sets to make my card: Poinsettias and Layered Woodgrain.

[WIW] Poinsettias and Layered Woodgrain Background by Amanda

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

I decided to try gold pigment ink for the background and I love how it shines! I also wanted to give the flowers a different look, so I cut the main Poinsettia to use it individually and did the same thing with one of the leafs.

For the sentiment I used the word die "With Love" and made it dimensional by sticking four of them together. As I final touch I added Nuvo Cristal Glace on top of the sentiment and also a few jewels around the flowers.

That's it for now! Thank you so much for stopping by and see you next time!

Hugs!

Amanda

[WIW] Partial Die Cutting Winter Card by Channin

Hello everyone! It’s Channin here with a new card video! Today I’m taking the simple A2 card base and stepping it up a notch with some partial die cutting and one extra fold to make this sweet winter card!

[WIW] Partial Die Cutting Winter Card by Channin

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

First, I stamped a pair of mittens from the Warm Hands Stamp Set in Waffle Flower Inks; Peace of Mind, New Fish in Pond, & Tickled Pink on 110lb white card stock. I then die cut the mittens with the matching dies. Next, I scored an A2 card base at lengthwise at 4.25” and then flip the base completely over and scored at 2.125”. Next, I folded the card base at the 4.25” line and then used the largest die from the Patched Layers Die set to add a stitched border to the front and inside panels of my card base.

I then partially die cut the mittens along the score line I made at 2.125” by sandwiching my paper like normal except for placing the edge of my top plate along the score line and then running it through my die cutting machine. Next, I die cut the middle heart from the Stitched Hearts Die set on the inside panel and then glued a panel of pink card stock on the back. I then stamped a snowflake from the Cold Hands Stamp Set all over the panels in New Fish in Pond Dye Ink. Lastly, I glued the stamped mittens over the partially cut ones and then stamped the sentiments from the Cold Hands Stamp Set in Tickled Pink and Peace of Mind.

I hope you enjoyed! Thanks so much for stopping by!

[Interactive] Peek-A-Boo Panel Card by Katie Gehring

Hello Waffle Flower friends, Katie Gehring here to with a video to share with you today showing how to introduce a little Peek-a-Boo on your next card project.

[Interactive] Peek-A-Boo Panel Card by Katie Gehring

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

My card features the super cute Tea for Two stamp set and matching dies. By using the Lacy Layers 2 dies to cut a rectangle from the front of my card, I was able to create layers, dimension, lots of fun details, and a couple surprises without any extra bulk.

To add even more interest to the front of my card, I created a plaid pattern using the Plaid Play stamp set and several shades of Waffle Flower dye inks. The sentiments from the Bear and Bird stamp set compliment the Tea for Two scene perfectly. A complete list of my Waffle Flower supplies is below.

I hope you’ll take a peek at my video to see how this sweet tea party scene came together!

Thanks for stopping by!

Katie

[WIW] Plaid Boo Card by Laura Bassen

Hi there! Laura here and today I have a fun, colorful Halloween project to share featuring the Boo stamp set as well as the Plaid Play stamp set. I used several of the delicious Waffle Flower inks in rainbow colors, of course, to create my plaid pattern.

I stamped the images from the Boo stamp set with Memento ink and colored them with Copics. Then I used the matching Boo dies to die cut each image out and popped them up with foam tape.

For the sentiment I embossed the "boo" in white onto black cardstock and then fussy cut it into a speech bubble.

Thanks for stopping by!

Repeating Background with Colored Images by Nichol Spohr

Hi friends! Nichol here today with an idea for creating repeating background colored images with the Sweets Stamp Set. Instead of making the Sweets images the embellishment of the card, the images are used to created a custom background by repeatedly stamping the images until the 4” x 5 1/4” white cardstock background is completely full.

[Video] Repeating Background with Colored Images

Watch the video below or on our Youtube Channel.

The images were colored in with Copic Markers and additional colorful hearts were stamped using Tickled Pink, My Pleasure, Oh Happy Day, You Said What, Chirp Chirp, New Fish In Pond, and Happy Go Lucky Inks. The addition of colorful hearts fills in the background nicely. For the greeting, a rectangle was die cut from black cardstock using a Stitched Layers Die. Greetings from the Sweets Stamp Set were stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The greeting was adhered to the background with foam adhesive. Nuvo Crystal Drops finish off the greeting and Glossy Accents, a white opaque pen, and the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen add fun detail to the background.
