[Technique] Inlaid Heat Embossed Die Cuts by Channin

Hello everyone! It’s Channin here and I hope you are having a wonderful Monday! This week I couldn’t resist making a fall card even if it’s still in the 100's here! In today’s video I combining the gorgeous Hello Fall Stamp Set and matching dies with a simple inlaying die cut technique. Plus I make a bonus card from the scraps!

Watch below or on our YouTube channel.

First I die cut 4 leaves from the Hello Fall Matching Die set repeatedly from an 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” panel of 110lb kraft cardstock and set the leaves aside for the bonus card. I then stamped and heat embossed the corresponding leaf images from the Hello Fall Stamp Set in gold on scraps of cardstock in 5 fall shades. Next I die cut the embossing images with the matching dies. I then inlaid the leaves into the kraft panel and used strips of washi to hold them in place.

Next, I adhered a panel of craft foam behind the panel and adhered it to an A2 top-fold kraft card base. Then I stamped and gold embossed the sentiment on a scrap of kraft cardstock and die cut it with the matching die. Lastly, I adhered the sentiment to the panel with foam tape.

Bonus Card

For this second card, I simply stamped the leaves with their corresponding images in VersaMark ink to create a tone on tone look. I then die cut the sides of an A2 panel of maroon cardstock with the cross-stitch border die from the 7 Skeins Floss Bobbin Die set.

I then stamped and gold embossing the sentiment on a scrap of maroon cardstock and then die cut it out with the matching die. Lastly, I adhered the leaves onto the panel, then adhered the panel onto a top-folding A2 kraft card base and then adhered the sentiment with foam tape.

I hope you enjoyed! Thanks so much for joining me today and I hope the rest of your day is splendid!
