Hello everyone! It’s Channin here and today I’m combining 2nd generation stamping and offset stamping to create a clean and simple one layer card!
[Video] 2nd Generation and Offset Stamping
Watch it below or on our Youtube Channel First, I stamp the outline for the purse from the Purse-nality Stamp Set on a 5” by 6 ½” card base with the Peace of Mind Dye Ink. I actually stamp the outline twice so I have a nice dark color so there will be more contrast between the 1st and 2nd generation images. Now that I have my first generation stamping complete, I will stamp the purse outline again slightly offset and without re-inking it. This will create a lighter image and will somewhat resemble a shadow. Next, I stamp the floral purse pattern a couple of times with Peace of Mind ink inside the outline image. I then, stamp the floral pattern slightly offset and again without re-inking it. Next, I create the strap using a dashed line from the First Step Stamp set. I ink it up with Coffee Loves Milk Dye Ink and stamp it on the left side of the purse. I then offset the stamp and stamp it again without re-inking. I repeat this process for the right side of the purse; the only difference is I flipped the stamp for the right side. I then stamp the dashed line a third time to complete the loop. I did have to alter the shape of the line on my misti (you could also use a acrylic block) so that the line for the strap was continuous. I also offset and 2nd generation stamped this portion of the purse. I then stamped my altered dashed line again but this time in Versafine Onyx Black Pigment Ink. I then stamped the other two portions of the strap with the Versafine ink to complete my purse. Now that my purse was done, I created my sentiment using the Little Mermaids Stamp Set and the Purse-nality Stamp Set. I positioned my sentiment on my misti then stamped it in Versafine Onyx Black ink. Lastly, I adhered a black rhinestone over the button/clasp of the purse. I hope you enjoyed and I’ll see you next week!! J ~Channin
