designteamheadshots_channin Hello everyone! It’s Channin here and today I have several cards to share, all of which I created using a simple stencil that you can make too with just a ruler and a sheet of copy paper! Check out my video or description below to get all the details! :)

[TT Video] DIY Christmas Tree Stencil with Channin

Watch below or at our YouTube channel. wfc_channin_1122_1 First, I created my stencil by sketching out a 5” by 7” rectangle, the size of my card front, on a piece of copy paper using a ruler. I then drew a vertical line down the middle and from that line I drew to angled lines and then connected them at the bottom to create a large triangle for the tree. Under the triangle I made a little rectangle to create the trunk. Then, using an x-acto knife I cut out the simple geometric tree that I had created out. wfc_channin_1122_2 Next, I trimmed down the copy paper to 4 ¾” by 7”. So just slightly smaller than my card, this is because I will now tape my stencil and card inside my MISTI and the size difference will allow the tape to hold both the stencil and card in place. Now, that my card and stencil are taped down I can start stamping. wfc_channin_1122_3 Using several stamps from the Pattern Play Stamp Set I stamped several patterns in Peace of Mind dye ink onto the tree stencil. I then clean and rearrange the stamps and stamp them in New Fish in Pond dye ink and then repeat the process for my final ink color, Chirp Chirp. wfc_channin_1122_4 Once my tree is completely stamped, I remove the stencil and stamp a sentiment from the Peace on Earth Stamp Set in versafine black onyx ink. And that’s it!! Hope you enjoyed and maybe inspired you to create this stencil yourself! ~Channin Supplies: Pattern Play Stamp Set Peace on Earth Stamp Set Peace of Mind Dye Ink New Fish in Pond Dye Ink  Chirp Chirp Dye Ink
