Hello everyone! It's Channin with new video for Technique Tuesday!!

Intricate die cuts are always so stunning and add great detail and interest to your card designs but the can be tricky to work with. This week I'm focusing on intricate dies and sharing some of my die cutting tips as well as showing you the awesome dryer sheet cheat. In addition I will demonstrate two different cards using the gorgeous Lacy Flower Dies and glitter paper!

Let's start with this card the simpler of the two. First, I die cut 3 of the largest flowers from the Lacy Flower Die set out of glitter paper. I then ink blended 3 circular gradations on a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" panel of colored card stock. I chose an ink, Shaded Lilac Distressed Ink, that was similar in tone to the my colored card stock just a few shades darker. I then adhered the glitter flowers over each of the circular gradations using a liquid adhesive that I put into a Precision Tip Glue Applicator Quilling Tool. Next, I die my panel down to 5"x7" using the largest die from the Lacy Layers 5x7 Die set.

I then cut 4 "Magical", one out of glitter paper and 3 others from white card stock, using the Magical Word Die. I then adhered the together, one atop the other, with the glitter "Magical" on top. I then stamped "Have a" and "day" from the Little Mermaids Stamp Set in the same ink I blended with onto my panel. Lastly, I adhered my panel to my A7 card base and then adhered the stacked "Magical", some clear sequins, and added a white dot above the "i" in Magical using white Ranger Enamel Accents.

For this second card, I first started by ink blending 3 circular gradations on a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" panel of pink colored card stock. This time I used Picked Raspberry Distressed Ink. Next, I die cut out of my blended panel 3 of the largest flowers from the Lacy Flowers Die set, with the flower centered over each circle gradation. I then die cut 3 corresponding flower mats out of glitter card stock using the Lacy Flower Mats Die set. Next, I adhered my blended panel onto a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" panel of white cardstock and then adhered the glitter mats into the negative flower spaces.

I then adhered my lacy flowers directly on top of the glitter mats using my liquid adhesive inside the quilling glue applicator bottle. Next, I die cut my panel down to 5"x7" using the largest die from the Lacy Layers 5x7 Die set. I then created another stacked "Magical" and also stamped "Have a" and "day" from from the Little Mermaids Stamp Set on my panel. Lastly, I adhered my panel to my A7 card base and then adhered the stacked "Magical", some clear sequins, and added a white dot above the "i" in Magical using white Ranger Enamel Accents.

I hope you enjoyed!! Thanks for stopping by!
