Hello everyone! It’s Channin here with a new video for Technique Tuesday! This week watch as I demonstrate how to make this very colorful watercolored background. Watercolor backgrounds have been very popular! From smooshed, to ombre/gradations, to bold stripes, to even plaids, I have seen so many different beautiful types of watercolor backgrounds. In my video, watch as I demonstrate yet another, I’m calling Short Strokes.

[TT Video] Short Strokes Watercolor Background by Channin

Watch below or on our YouTube channel. First, I made the background with my watercolors and a 1/2 flat brush on a 5 1/2” x 7 1/2” panel of watercolor paper. I started with my lightest watercolor shade, mixed it with only a small amount of water then applied it randomly to my watercolor panel in short strokes. I continued this process till I had applied all the colors I intended to use and my panel was covered with strokes. As my panel dried, I stamped and gold embossed the adorable lion from the Enveloper Choice Stamp Set and a sentiment from the Enveloper Hello Stamp Set on a stitched white cardstock square cut using the new Lacy Square Dies. Next, I trimmed my watercolor panel down to 5x7 using the Lacy Layers 5x7 Dies. I then adhered my panel to my cardbase, added some craft foam to the back of my lion and sentiment square and then adhered it to my card front. I hope you enjoyed and thanks so much for stopping by!! ~Channin Products: Enveloper Choice Stamp Set Enveloper Hello Stamp Set  Lacy Square Die Lacy Layers 5x7 Die
