Hi everyone! It’s Stephanie
here and I am excited to be back on the Waffle Flower blog sharing another card I've created. For today's card I really wanted to make the largest Lacy Flower
the focus of my card so I decided to create a fun acetate panel for the flower to adhere to so you can see right through to the inside of the card.
I first diecut the lacy flower from a white cardstock panel, just to get the outer shape of the flower. I then adhered a piece of acetate behind it and layered another piece of white cardstock (with a flower cut out as well) over the acetate on the inside of the card so you can't see any of the adhesive on the acetate piece. Once I had the acetate piece done, I diecut the lacy flower from a piece of aqua glitter paper and adhered the actual flower piece (after poking out all of the insides) directly into the open area on the acetate. Once it's adhered it kind of looks like it's floating and you can see inside the card.
Once I had the flower part done, I adhered a couple strips of patterned paper down the left side of the card and then I stamped the sentiment from the Lacy Flower
stamp set onto a white cardstock strip that I adhered over the center area of the flower. I stamped some of the hearts from the same stamp set, coloured them in to match the card and cut them out with my scissors. I adhered them on to the card front with some clear sequins to complete the card.
Thanks so much for visiting today! I'll be back later this month with another card to share! ;)
