Hello everyone! Today I'm feeling Love! Yes! I've fell in love with Balloon Messages Stamp Set! This set is so cute and just perfect to be paired with Willy and Claire mini stamp sets.

I heat embossed the balloons, the hearts, love, xoxo, and star with white embossing powder and then blended in some distress ink. I then added some random dots using a white gel pen. And as always, I colored the images with Copic markers. I created the background by blended with distress inks and dded some clear sequins for finishing touch.

I hope you like my card. Have a wonderful day!

Hugs, Vera

Xyron + Waffle Flower Inspiration Week - Day 2 - Katie Gehring

on July 26, 2016
Hello everyone! We are teaming up with our friends at Xyron to bring you some fun projects every day of the week! Don't forget to checkout the awesome giveaway prizes at the end of this post! We have Katie Gehring on the blog today! Take it away, Katie! Hello friends, Katie here to share a simple Birthday card featuring the Balloon Messages stamp set, the Balloon Messages Die along with some help and awesome tools from Xyron. Xyron-Waffle-Flower-2-Gehring-Bday Balloons I love using vellum on my cards for its translucent quality, and it works especially well with balloons. It’s the translucent quality of vellum though that makes vellum so tricky to use because, you know… adhesive. There’s nothing worse than VAL- Visible Adhesive Lines, right?! The best tip I can share is to coat the vellum evenly with adhesive and Xyron’s Sticker Maker are the perfect tool for for this. Xyron-Waffle-Flower-2-Gehring-Bday Balloons 2 First I prepped the panel by doing all the stamping and inking. I stamped the balloon strings and sentiment and added a little ink spatter with black ink. Next I die cut the balloons from vellum and ran them through the Xyron 1.5” sticker maker. In one of the balloons, I added an inlay star. When applying adhesive to a larger surface, like these balloon die cuts, sometimes adhesive get places you would rather it not go. To address this, I always apply pressure and trace the outline of the die cuts before removing the top layer of the sticker maker sheet. Should a little adhesive transfer to my project, Xyron’s Adhesive Eraser is very handy for removing unwanted adhesive without leaving marks or eraser residue on your project. Xyron-Waffle-Flower-2-Gehring-Bday Balloons 3 I added a couple sequins along with a bow cut using the Tiny Twine Bow Die. Finally, I used the Xyron Mega Runner to adhere the completed card panel to the card base. I have never used a mega runner or a tape gun previously, I was so impressed with how easy it was to quickly cover a large area with adhesive. The runner has a flip up cap to prevent unwanted adhesive transfer and its substantial size means it’s not as likely to get lost on your craft table like smaller tape runners. Xyron-Waffle-Flower-2-Gehring-Bday Balloons 4 Well that’s all for me today. I hope that these tips encourage you to try using some tricky materials in your next project. The right adhesive can make all the difference! --- Kaite

[Guest] Sunshine Claire Balloon Card by Niki

Hello everyone! We are excited to have Niki (@nikibee.handmade on IG) as a guest on the blog today! Take it away, Niki! IMG_20160706_070232_wm I used Claire and the track from Snail Mail stamp set. I paired that with the sentiment and created a large balloon from Balloon Messages stamp set. I created my background by heart embossing the stars from Ballon Messages and ink blended with Coffee Loves Milk ink, I did some ink splashing with first coffee loves milk ink, allowing it to dry, then a white acrylic paint. IMG_20160705_232110 Next I worked out my layout, stamped my images in Archival jet black ink and used watercolour (distress inks) to colour in. Adding a ton of sparkling Spectrum Noir shimmer pen in crystal clear to the balloon and Claire's bow and skirt. IMG_20160705_232210 After stamping my sentiment to look like a continuation of the track that Claire is standing on, I added in my favorite mix of sequins and beads.
