[Guest] Doily Circle, 3 Ways with Ashwini Rao
Hello everyone! Its Ashwini for my second (and last! Sniff!) post as a Guest Designer! Today, I am sharing a few cards using the Waffle Flower Crafts Doily Circle. This is a die that I really love, but haven't made many projects out of - so I challenged myself to use this die in a variety of ways - 3 ways in fact. So here goes - Technique 1 - Aluminum foil Using aluminum foil might be an old techqniue, but it is new for me! :) Moreover, since this is such an intricate die, I learnt a thing or...
[Guest] Little Stamps Background with Monochrome Animals by Ashwini Rao
Hello everyone! Its Ashwini here. Thank you so much Waffle Flower Crafts, for having me over as a Guest Designer! I have a couple of cards today with the cute animals from the Monochrome stamp set - I've used some pattern paper and some custom made background for these two cards. I chose all the little stamps from Waffle Flower I could find in my stash (I've used stamps from Monochrome, A Bunch, Congrats and Lacy Flower). I then chose a series of at least 6-8 colors for each card, choosing greens, blues and grey for the card with the zebra and pinks, yellows and grey for the...
[Guest] Lacy Flower Card by Niki
Hello! Niki here with a card that I think will become my "go to" layout. The Lacy Flower stamp is stunning, intricate and lends itself so perfectly to a clean and simple card. I started out with some watercolour cardstock, I heat embossed the stamp using white embossing powder. I took Distress ink and softly blended two colours to showcase the Lacy Flower, then splashed a little water over the top, just love that effect. To finish up I heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of vellum and adhered it to the panel. Added a little sparkle with clear...
[Guest] Awesome Friend Card by Stephanie Klauck
Hi everyone it's Stephanie here with another card to share! For today's card I used the Lacy Flower stamp set to create an embossed resist flower on my card. I stamped the large lacy flower onto a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Once it was embossed, I used an ink blending tool and distress inks to add colour to the entire background. When I had all of the inking complete, I spritzed water on the entire panel and dabbed off the excess with paper towels to create a distressed look. I trimmed...
[Guest] Lacy Flower Card by Jodi Collins
Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday! It's Jodi here with you today, and I am thrilled to be here today guesting on the Waffle Flower Blog! I have a card to share with you featuring the gorgeous Lacy Flower stamp set! I just adore this gorgeous set! I wanted to focus on this amazing image, and I kept my card pretty simple, letting the image do all the work! I stamped it onto a panel of X-Press It Blending Card and then, using Copic Markers, colored the image. After adding the color, I gave it a bit of shimmer using a Clear...
[Guest] Forever Friends Flower Window Card by Stephanie
Hi everyone! It’s Stephanie here and I am excited to be back on the Waffle Flower blog sharing another card I've created. For today's card I really wanted to make the largest Lacy Flower the focus of my card so I decided to create a fun acetate panel for the flower to adhere to so you can see right through to the inside of the card. I first diecut the lacy flower from a white cardstock panel, just to get the outer shape of the flower. I then adhered a piece of acetate behind it and layered another piece of white cardstock (with...
