[Guest Video] Celebrate Year of the Monkey - Emily Leiphart
Hi, everyone! It's Emily here and I'm so happy to be guesting on the Waffle Flower blog today with this Chinese New Year card and video! I wanted to use the monkeys from Willy & Friends with the Christmas set Stockings and a sentiment from Congrats to show how versatile all of these sets can be. I coloured the monkeys and gift/red envelope with Copic markers and die cut them with their coordinating dies. Then I tied gold string around the red envelope, heat embossed the sentiment in gold and painted the edges of the card base with gesso. After assembling the card,...
[Guest] Make a Birthday Card with Holiday Themed Products - Melania Deasy
Hello everyone! Before putting your holiday themed products away, why not use them to make a few cards to use in the new year first? Our friend Melania has an idea for you! Melania used three stamp sets on this card: Claire Stamp Set, Stocking Stamp Set and Magical Stamp Set. She used masking technique to make her mountain of gifts and colored them with Copics. She heat embossed the sentiment in white and blended some dye ink in for the background. She also splashed some water with a brush and added some sequins for a fun look!
[Guest] Paper Pieced Stockings for Christmas - Melania Deasy
Hello everyone! Our friend Melania is on the blog today! Today I have a card I made with Stocking Stamp Set, Stocking Die, Willy Stamp Set and Faye Stamp Set. I stamped and colored the cute monkeys using Copics. I paper pieced the stockings with some patterned paper. For the background, I blended some dye inks on the card base and then splashed some water with my brush. After that, I used a snow stencil with white pigment ink to make it more snowy. The sentiment was heat embossed with white embossing powder. Thank you for sharing with us today, Melania! We love the glittered bows! Find time to create and make something today!...

Can you spot how many different ones I used? I’ve been wanting to use the gorgeous lace tape from the Fun Finds section for some time, and this was the perfect project. I adhered a few strips of the tape to a piece of cardstock, and die cut it with the Doily Square die. Tada! Christmas ornaments! The bows come from Stocking die. Before adhering the ornaments and the...
