Ong York Tee

Using Rock My World Die Set, Good Stuff Die Set, Calendar Stamp Set, Winter Blend Inkpad
What York Tee Says: I created two of my very own one-of-a-kind stencils using Rock My World Die Set and Good Stuff Die Set. I die cut the rocks all over a 41/2"x 6" cardstock randomly and I called it Rock Tee's World. I used the Rock Tee's World stencil, a few shades of purple inks and color shine mist to create the patterned rock background for my birthday card. Then, I used the stencil created by using Good Stuff Die Set to add a little touch for my calendar. WFC- 1-18-York Tee

Isha Gupta

Using Doily Square Die, In Every Way Stamp Set, Congrats Stamp Set
What Isha Says: I used the die to make my stencil and then sponged to create an almost one layer card :) WFC-1-18-Isha Gupta

Tessa Wise

Using Tribal Pattern Die, Amazing Word Die, Tribal Bear Stamp Set
What Tessa Says: I created a stencil by cutting the Tribal Pattern Die out of acetate. Using washi tape to hold it in place, I blended ink from the Hero Arts Grape Purple Ombre ink pad over the stencil and on to the cardstock below. The stenciling left a soft pattern of the intricate design on my card. WFC-1-18-Tessa Wise

Inspiration from the Challenge Team – December 21

on December 21, 2015
Happy Monday, everyone! Time for some inspiration from the Challenge Team! Isha, York Tee and Tessa are here to share their takes on the December Waffle Flower Challenge! Join the fun by linking your projects to our challenge too! wfc201512 Isha Gupta Products: In Every Way Stamp Set, Congrats Stamp Set, Lotus Stamp Set What Isha Says: The flowers from the In Every Way Stamp Set were made for layering! I used them to create this fun and colorful background. WFC-12-21-Isha Gupta York Tee Products: Good Stuff Stamp Set, Tribal Bear Stamp Set, Good Stuff Die, and the Winter Blend Inkpad What York Tee Says: I applied three different Stamp Layering techniques for this Christmas card – layering using two step stamping set, one layered stamping and layering of grey pigment ink with colorful dye ink. First, I used Good Stuff Stamp Set to stamp the outlines of the bottle and the solid body and lid of the bottle. Then, I stamped randomly variety shape of stars and snowflakes using different colored ink on top of each other. For second and third, I layered a white tag on top of my white card base and stamped on the layers at the same time. After finished all the stamping, I layered a grey colored tag in between. Regarding the stamping, I stamped the lined patterns from Tribal Bear Stamp set with grey pigment ink and stamped over the background with colorful dye inks and watercolor strokes. WFC-12-21-York Tee Tessa Wise Products: Notions Stamp Set, Doily Circle Stamp Set What Tessa Says: I started by stamping the doily circle with white pigment ink onto my white card base. I let it dry completely and then went over it with some light pink ink. The white ink resists the pink. Next I stamped the threads in some fun colors. Last, I added the sentiment with black ink. I embellished with a few little heart stickers to finish it off. WFC-12-21-Tessa Wise Hope you are inspired to try the stamp layering technique! Find time to create and make something today!

I used both regular and reverse masking techniques on this card. I die cut several feathers in varied styles and sizes to use as masks.  I also used the negative diecuts for reverse masking. I stamped some feathers and blended over them on white paper with inks using sponge dauber.

I used liquid masking fluid to mask the chain before stamping the pine leaves. I masked the stocking using post it before I stamped the gifts.

I was inspired by the colors in the inspiration photo! I masked a circle cutout on my kraft colored cardbase and added some rose colored ink to the center to create an ombre look. I stamped the leaf over the top in the same color ink.

[Five for Friday] - Make Jack-o-Lanterns with Amanda

on October 09, 2015

DesignTeamHeadshots_AmandaHello Waffle Flower friends!  Amanda here today with some festive Halloween Five for Friday inspiration.  Making jack-o-lanterns is one of my favorite Halloween traditions.  Carving out a gooey pumpkin is something that we look forward to all year round (and the roasted pumpkin seeds, of course).  What's just as fun as making a traditional pumpkin jack-o-lantern is making jack-o-lanterns out of everyday objects.
Carving gourds other than the traditional big, orange pumpkin is a fun way to spice things up come carving time.  The different shapes and colors of the gourds are utterly charming.
These painted wooden 2x4 jack-o-lanterns are speaking my DIY language.  Finally, something to do with all of the wood scraps we have laying around.
Paint the inside of a jar for a glossy jack-o-lantern treat jar .  It's so smart, you'll wonder, "Why didn't I think of that?"
I can hardly get over how fun and delicious these bell pepper jack-o-lanterns look.  Maybe this will finally get my kids to eat their veggies.  Heck, maybe it'll get me to finally eat my veggies.
Balloons?  Check.  Sharpie?  Check.  Totally kid friendly, too.
After falling in love the jack-o-lantern jars above, I recreated them using the Good Stuff Stamp Set and coordinating Good Stuff Die.  The little stamped jars make the cutest little jar jack-o-lantern tags.  After you have stamped and die cut your jars, draw a simple face with a black marker and attach to a treat bag with some baker's twine.  My daughter is so excited to be giving these out for her class Halloween treat this year.
Pumpkin Treat Bags
The pumpkin ink from the Fall Blend Inkpad is perfect for stamping all kinds of pumpkins. The jar lids are stamped with the earthy Footstep from the Winter Blend Inkpad.
