Summer Camp Tent Pattern (PDF & .studio) for Joy’s Life Fun in the Sun Bloghop & Giveaways

Welcome, Welcome, Crafters! Welcome to Joy’s Life June Bloghop & Giveaways! So glad you are here! If you came from Maria’s blog Joyful Stamper,  you are right on track! New to bloghop? It is where a group of people (like our Joy’s DT girls) create themed posts and link to each other’s blogs from our posts, so our blog readers can “hop” from one to the next. There are usually giveaways (or blog candies) :)

So, are you ready for some summer fun? :) Like Camping? :)

Heart from Joyful Hearts, “U+Me=♥” from Sweet Popsicle Puns and “Happy Camper” from Wild Life Puns.

I was inspired by the origami tent here. It turned out to be a square tent with a 90 degree angle at top. I like a smaller angle and would love to have no paper edge or creases to show. So I experimented and drew my own pattern. I have two finishes: The red one has a closed bottom while the other two are open.

Remember to fold the two tent flaps back before you glue the ends.

The fun part is decorating your tent. The paper I used are some older collections from Echo Park: Yellow/Purple (Summer Days), Dark Teal/Pink (Happy Days) and Orange/Red (Splash). Here are the tools I used: (clouds for the bushes, fun!)

Our favorite summer activities are: the ice cream truck (even though he comes through in the winter, there is something about an ice cream truck in the summer!). We also love going camping, we have a travel trailer so that makes life a little easier. Thanks for the chance to win!

    Nina,
As soon as I saw your project I said aloud, “Oh how FREAKING CUTE!!” Yep, I’m alone in the room and scared the cat. LOL! Next, I tweeted your awesomeness to the world. Well, at least this particular creation of awesomeness. LOL! This is adorable. I want to go camping in your little paper campsite. I’ll be bringing some paper hot dogs, pre-cooked, so as not to burn down the whole place. Fire in the paper campsite = bad. Seriously, I love your project. Thanks so much for being in the Pun in the Sun blog hop!
    Super Hugs,
    ~Joy~
