Morning crafters! I am sharing a little pack of digi paper today!
I have enjoyed the triangle trend for a while and finally found time to create some freebies. I will share the .studio file (for use with your Silhouette SD/Cameo) next month. There are 4 paper in this kit. You are welcome to share the projects you made with them online but please credit and link to this post (not the file directly).
I made two samples for your inspiration. The paper will be 6″ x 6″ printed at 100% scale. I am using 85% scale for my two cards today.
Using the scraps from making the card above:
My motivation was the new 10 Minutes Craft Dash Challenge. I’m a slow crafter but I found my best cards were mostly created in a whip with some patterned paper. The cool sketch for my first card is from Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge: Designer Drafts. I had so much fun making today’s projects. Happy crafting!
SUPPLIES & DOWNLOADS
Hello crafters, I am really having fun making shaped cards with my Silhouette Cameo. The porthole is a free SVG file (linked below) I imported (you will need the designer version of Studio to do so).
Cute whale from LIfestyle Crafts. Sentiment from Joy’s LIfe. Cardstock from American Crafts Primaries pack. I used about half sheet of 3D dots for all the dimensions! The porthole is also a wonderful way to frame a photo!
I am playing in the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge: Splish Splash
Welcome to the first challenge of The Cameo Spotlight! It is the first challenge blog dedicated to creating cards with your Silhouette machines (SD and Cameo). We are having one challenge every two weeks. This time the theme is Summer!
I have been into shaped cards ever since I made the pineapple card. Check out the super cute fish file by Samantha Walker here!
Sentiment is from Wild Life Puns by Joy’s Life. The waves are some new dies by Lifestyle Crafts (release post here) I’ve been getting emails asking how to make shaped cards stand alone so I included a photo in today’s post:
Easy? :) Now head over to TCS Blog to check out what other DT girls have in store for you! I hope that you are inspired to create something and join us in the fun! Happy Crafting!
Morning Crafters! It’s been a while since I played in the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger. When I saw this super cool typewriter for this week, I just had to make time to create a card for it! And this time I am playing with some glitter pen from Cri-kits for my Silhouette Cameo. The typewriter is a sketch pattern in the Silhouette Online Store. ”you’re one of a kind” is from Sweet Popsicle Puns by Joy’s Life. I wrote the “HELLO” in the circles myself :) Sealed with some glassy accents!
Let’s turn off the light and take a closer look on the glittered lines:
Cool? I think so :) We will have a blog hop with giveaways on August 25 about these super cool pens for your digital die cut machines (Cricut, Pazzles, Silhouette and Eclips). Hope to see you then!

I bought the Silhouette Cameo to cut and test my own box patterns that I share on this blog. It wasn’t long before I discovered how fun it is to make cards with it. You can check out all my Silhouette cards and .studio freebies here. Here are three of my favorites:
Hippo Mother’s Day
You Can Go Your Own Way

And here is my take on the shaped card theme:
This is a kinda long hop so I will not go into full detail. Basically I cut out the pineapple from some free SVGs (linked below) I imported into Silhouette Studio and tweaked them to make my card. Supplies: Cardstock: (green, yellow, brown, pink, black) American Crafts; Patterned Paper: (Emma’s Shoppe 6×6 Pad) Crate Paper; Stamp: (sentiment from Pun in the Sun) Joy’s Life.
I want to make sure you have many opportunities to win, so I came up with three chances to enter. You do NOT need to do them all to enter.

You can link as many cards as you like, as long as it is made on or after July 9. We will go check them out! I will also have a 2nd winner drawn from the pool on Monday July 30 to win a stamp set of her choice from Joy’s Life.
Morning Crafters! Today I have a shaped card for Joy’s Life DT and Paper Crafts July Gallery Challenge.
Tree image is from this free cut file on Deena Rutter’s blog. I copied the tree a couple times in Silhouette Studio and erased the lines I do not need for each layer. Yes, the shapes are not closed but it is easier to just hand cut the connections after the machine cut. I placed the files to the corners so I can cut them out all at once using 3 different 6″x6″ paper.
Stamp: (sentiment from Yummy Puns) Joy’s Life; Patterned Paper: (Hippie Plaid, Flowery, Groovy from Flower Child Collection; Hailey, Abbie’s Sunshine from Oh Happy Day Collection) GCD Studios. Punches: (grass border) Fiskars, (photo corner) Martha Stewart.
And here is what the photo corners are used for:
I mounted the gift card closer to the bottom of the tree so the whole card has enough weight at the lower potion to stand on itself. the finished card measures 5.5″ x 6.25″.
Thank you for stopping by! Happy Crafting!
