I just started with watercolors and have been experimenting some cool techniques.  I want to share the simple wet into wet technique painting a loose flower field today!

Here's a quick process animation - may take a few seconds to load!

That was my 20 minutes of fun and I learned a little more about my paints!

After that, I diecut the panel out using the biggest die from A2 Nested Domes Die and topped it with our A2 Arch Window Die for a card:

Sentiment from Smiling Stamp Set.

GIVEAWAY

Waffle Flower would like to giveaway a $25 gift certificate to our store! To enter, simply leave a comment to this post by Monday June 11th, letting us know your favorite coloring medium at the moment!

We will choose a random winner and announce it on Wednesday June 13th!

___

You next stop is the über-talented watercolor artist Dawn from Wplus9!

For the full list, check out Kathy's blog here!

Hugs,

Nina

  • Great water coloring Nina! I’m currently coloring a “coloring card” that is extremely detailed, tiny little lines so I’m using a fine point set of colored ink pens. I also like to color with water color markers, copics and colored pencils. What I use is dependent on the image and paper it is on and the look that I want. I create a ton of cards for specific people in my life, all based on the recipients likes and dislikes.

  • I am all about anything watercolory! I like the wet-on-wet technique you’ve shown—it’s fun to see how the background looks once the paint is all dry!

  • This is awesome, I must try that sometime.
You made a lovely card with flowerfield.
Thanks for your part in the challenge and the great giveaway for the hop, it’s such fun to do the 30 Day Coloring Challenge again!

  • Watercolors are so much fun and I feel like the whole process allows you to relax as you move from one spot to the next…it’s hard for me to hurry when painting. Your card is wonderful and I love that window die!
