This makes a lovely sunburst with the “sun” lower in the sky. I find that more artistic than in the center. I was expecting this to emboss the rays, but it cuts them. I found that backing the 4.25x5.5” piece with printer paper allowed me to trim the sunburst to 4x5.25 and still easily glue it to a card front.
The die cuts out the rays, I was expecting it just to emboss, but it cut each ray. I was able to make it work, it not what I was thinking I was purchasing. I have the sizzix big shot switch machine. Maybe the machine is too much pressure for this die.
I thought the starburst lines just made an imprint of a line but they actually cut which can make for very interesting cards. But once you glue it down you really can't tell. I do like if the paper is cut less than 4.25 by 5.5 that the ends are 'loose'. I look forward to playing with it some more.
