4x4 Grip Mat

This 4x4 Grip Mat replaces the 4.25x5.5 to be the smallest size we carry. It's great for smaller projects and holding ink pads. This is the perfect size for use with our 4x4 and 4.25x4.25 stencils - simply leave a little corner of your stencil hanging off the mat so you can easily peel it off when switching stencils.
Care Tips
• Clean with water or a photopolymer-safe cleaner as needed
• Avoid alcohol and chemical-based cleaners
• Use a non-scratch dish sponge to gently remove small particles like bits of die-cut paper
• Avoid scratchy materials and sharp edges
• Do not use embossing powders, glitters, or other fine powders over the mat—they can be difficult to remove
• Do not place foiled images in direct contact with the mat—the foil may transfer and is very difficult to remove
• Store on the included acetate sheet, or between two sheets of parchment paper
• Alcohol-based markers like Copics can permanently stain the mat. To protect the surface, nest your small diecuts back into the negative piece when coloring.

• Do not stack heavy items on top for an extended time
To minimize paper warping and tearing, gently peel the mat away from your paper.
Disclaimer
Grip Mats are made from soft, high-quality photopolymer. Slight variations such as air bubbles, surface cloudiness, or staining from certain inks are normal and do not affect performance. Over time and with use, wear and tear should be expected. Always handle with care and avoid contact with sharp tools, harsh chemicals, or abrasive materials.

I used the grip mat for stencilling and placed the black acetate piece on top when I was finished. When I went to clean the mat and pulled back the acetate an hour later, approx. 1/3 of the black residue from the acetate stuck to the grip mat! It was difficult to peel off. Beware - do not use the black acetate piece! Find another piece of acetate to cover your mat. The photo shows the acetate piece after it was peeled back from the mat - the clear areas are where the black residue stuck to my mat.
Hello Akel, We’re happy we were able to work this out with you through our customer service team. Just a quick note: please avoid placing foiled images or printed acetate directly on the mat. The foil or printed design may transfer to the mat and can be very difficult to remove. We’ve updated the product description to include this information as well.
I should have gotten one for my Misti and a bigger one for my desk. Love it.

I love this mat! I was able to easily place my cardstock, stencil, and ink pads all on the mat at the same time. I love having all on my materials anchored to the mat and not having to worry about them shifting. The mat released the cardstock easily and cleaned up with just water. It is my new go to mat. The guide on the back is very useful... a big plus! ❤️
This is a great mat for holding cardstock while ink blending. Not a good blend (operator error) but the paper held tight & did not move at all.
Love it fits perfectly with my projects holds great, with stencils, paper with good grip. Fits great on my Misti made stamping easy. Later going to get another one.
Love this mat, it makes stamping a TRUE pleasure. I didn't realize how much I would love and use this product until I added it to my craft table. I did get the larger size which I LOVE, they do carry many size options for different stamping platforms. My one issue is the grid marking has peeled back from one of the covers. I currently have mine attached to a Glass Mat I work on, so it has visible grid lines from underneath, but I use the grid cover to keep it clean when not in use. I am not sure why, but a section of the grid peeled off of the window sheet and will probably completely come off in time. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who paper crafts as I have done over and over on my YouTube channel. Thanks for making a really useful product that makes it EASIER to create!
Hello Rachael, thank you for the review. Did you know there is a front and back for the printed grids? Just need to remember to only apply the grid sheet with the reversed side facing up - or the paint may transfer. It's just the nature of the material that tends to 'grab' almost anything!
I used the grrip mat for the first time yesterday with layering stencils. I did not use one bit of tape to secure the stencils and the results were flawless. My new favorite tool.
I love my grip mat so much. It keeps all my paper projects in place with I stencil or stamp or even just arranging cutouts on my card. Not sure how I lived without it. It also fits perfectly in my WF media mat.

There are so many reasons I love this newest tool in my Waffle Flower arsenal of products! It holds my paper but man oh man does it ever grip those stencils - once you get it aligned it won't budge while ink blending through the stencil. It's also wonderful for 'layering' more than one stencil using the new stencil extender- a picture says a thousand words...

I have bought a variety of brands and Waffle Flower Grip mats are the only grip mats that I can remove the card stock and not have it curl. Usually, I am pulling and trying to remove the paper gently and the paper still sticks and sometimes, tears a layer of the paper. Waffle Flower Grip mats work perfectly. It is the best.
I have MANY grip mats - both from Waffle Flower and a different brand - this one with the black protector sheets is the most sticky of any of them. I bought one of these for all three of my Misti tools. Highly recommend!
I ordered this product to use in my Misti, however, I wasn't very happy with it so I took it out. I will just use it as a separate item.
I bought this mat as it was supposed to be quite sticky per videos and reviews. Perhaps I received bad one, but it is hardly sticky at all. I have washed it as directed with no real change. Disappointed as it is not cheap.
I love the sticky mats and the grid acetate sheets. I used them to stamp, to stencil and the grid sheet to align all my cards, mats etc.
It's a great sticky mat which I use mostly for ink blending die cuts. I really like to put the grid on the back and be able to see it clearly.
