Shaker Cards!

For October, we challenge you to create a shaker project.  It could be cards, layouts or any paper crafting projects.

This week's inspiration is brought to you by our design team member Rachel and her co-host Michelle and Natalia!

Shaker cards are always so fun, so what about making cards with two or more shaker sections?

For this Month's Challenge, I decided to make a very colorful and happy project. I always wanted to use the Slimline Rainbow die to create a shaker so I went ahead and cut out four white cardstock panels and stacked them to create some wells. I filled each well with different star shaker elements. Next I ink blended the background using the Slimline cloud stencil and Distress Oxide inks in colors that matched the shaker elements. To add some interest to the card I added three Unicorns from the set Unicorns and added the Happy Birthday sentiment using Vellum and black Glitter cardstock.

My little take on the challenge.....I knew as soon as I saw this fabulous outline circle die that it would make the most fantastic shaker card!  And it is perfect for making multiple little mini shakers within your card.

Shakers are my absolute favourite cards to make so this week's challenge was pure joy! I made three different cards with 2 or more shaker elements in them and I had so much fun! One of the greatest things about shakers is that you can use any dies at hand, be them whole panel dies, small shaped dies or just outlines, and it just gives your card that extra little touch and dimension.
