More Creative Ideas Using August 2020 Stitchables Release - Week 4

Nothing makes a statement like a delightfully detailed monochromatic card with one pop of color! Galina's use of the blank tags to draw your eye to that perfectly placed heart and the oh-so-true sentiment. Perfection.

The adorable charm that Wanda stitched onto her two color beanie has a lot of impact.  The kraft cardstock is a great neutral for the non-traditional Christmas colors she choose.  The white paint splatters make you feel like the snowflakes are falling.

It's amazing how switching colors at each section makes the ZigZags look so 3D! Also, the way Elyse used floss just one shade lighter for the top section is so charming and subtle.

Rainbows Stamp Set (sentiment)

Rebecca used 3 different colors of floss to turn the zigzags into waves.  Her sea creatures were colored with Copics and did you notice that she used a light blue on her edges to help enforce the water feel. The sentiment was stamped with blue ink.

 Elyse created little aquarium window-like vignette backgrounds for her fish - making the thread go three different directions for each - and her long stitches make this a super quick card. Elyse created sand by using variegated floss - an easy way to add a lot interest. Her dancing crabs are Copic colored.  This is a great design for the slim line sized card.

Channin rocks this rainbow heart - just two offset rows of each happy color on a diagonal - so eye-catching. She pops it up on a cool blue background. The sentiment is heat embossed in white.

How fun is that fuzzy pom pom? So cute atop a classic Nordic poinsettia stitched design on her beanie. The red and white of the holly berries really pop against the green pattern paper.

Just like in the beanie above Channin created her own stitchable pattern on the sweater. The reindeer makes a great model to wear it. She cut out 2 reindeers from white cardstock and ink blended them.  The holiday light strand was diecut from green cardstock and the bulbs were ink blended to match the colors used in the sweater.

Rebecca makes us feel the chill with the cool blues in her card.  She diecut the beanie out of felt which is another way to enforce that winter feel.  The pom pom is a handmade accent she demonstrates in her video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_8kxV1GHOY.  Speech bubbles are always a fun way to add a sentiment.
