More Creative Ideas Using December 2020 Slimlines & Alphabets Release - Week 2

It’s not a secret that Maria really LOVES stripes. For these cards she used the widest stripe from the Slimline Stripes Die. To be able to use as many colors as possible, she made her cards in the horizontal format. One in warmer and one in cooler colors. For the main sentiment she diecut  all letters four times from white cardstock and glued them together. She added Sentiment Strips from the New Beginning and Classic Sentiments Stamp sets to finish the cards.

Here are 3 examples using the Slimline Window Trio Die. 

Galina used glitter paper for her outer frame. For the backgrounds of her inner windows she ink blended with distress inks.  The floral images were Copic colored  to coordinate with the backgrounds.  She heat embossed the sentiment with white powder on black cardstock and then added some enamel dots to emphasize the sentiment.

Jeanne's card is so bright and cheerful.  She Copic colored her stamped images.  I like the clever use of the smaller circle die as a sun. What a great way to use those dies included in this die set.  The sentiment is stamp in black.

New Beginning Stamp Set (sentiment)

Slimline Windows are the perfect way to showcase your favorite images.  The backgrounds are inked with Distress Oxide Ink in colors that complement the florals. Jeanne Copic colored the floral images and then die cut them with the matching die.  She used a square from the Nesting Squares set to die cut her small sections of flowers for her windows.

Arjita's no-line watercoloring is beautiful.  The little bit of speckling really adds a vintage feel. Her color palette is lovely.  She stamped her sentiment in black.

Maria stamped the image with Antique Linen Distress Ink on a piece of Arches Hot Pressed Watercolor Paper. She used soft bright pastel colors for her no-line watercoloring.  I love the dimension she created by popping up both the panel and her flowers.

Galina gives us two examples of using the smaller stamps out of the Tender Blooms set.  She embossed the flowers with white powder, which really pops off the yellow paper.  She created a small shaker window behind the sentiment.

In this card Galina die cut a panel and used one of the stencils from the Buffalo Plaids Stencil Duo to create the inked squares.  She once again used the smaller flower images and the sentiment from Tender Blooms set. The clear enamel dots are a fun accent without detracting from the card as a whole.
