Five for Friday - Pretty Pottery

Hello Waffle Flower friends! Lorena here with some pretties to get ready for the weekend. If there’s an art/craft that I find truly mesmerizing, that’s pottery. I could wander around a pottery shop or stare at a market stall for hours, marveled at the different details, finishes, and specially impressed that there’s no piece alike, every one is unique. Here’s a little selection of pieces that caught my eye lately.   I love the happy color combinations on this mugs. Who wouldn’t want to fill their craft room with such bright pieces?

These are so cute and unique! Some of them remind me of the long critters from On My Mark stamp set.

What about this beauty, isn’t it a showstopper? That shine!!! Oh, and it also reminds me of the big flower in Flower Circles stamp set.

My last pick is so perfect for showcasing succulents! I like the natural tones, the color blocking and the subtle glaze.

 And speaking of glaze… I was inspired by all this pretty pottery and decided to make my own, but without getting any clay under my nails ;) And I even glazed it! This birthday card would be perfect for a guy, too, and showcases some of the lovely pots from Planted stamp set. After stamping the pots, I heat embossed them with a few layers of UTEE (ultra thick embossing enamel). They truly resemble glazed pottery! I finished the card with a sentiment from Shower stamp set, and grounded the pots with three strands of rustic twine.
