[Guest] Wish You Were Here Card by Stephanie Klauck

Hello everyone! It's Stephanie here again with another card to share using stamps and dies from Waffle Flower. I am a camper and love the outdoors so I knew I had to have the Riverside stamp set and dies as soon as I saw them. I love all of the fun little details in the stamp set.. there are so many options for creating a bunch of outdoor themed card designs.
For my card, I used the dies to create the river and the trees by diecutting them from white cardstock and using distress inks and an ink blending tool to add colour to them. Once I had them all inked up, I spritzed some water on top and then dabbed the pieces with a paper towel. Since distress inks react with water, some of the colour lifted and created a fun distressed look. I think it goes perfectly with the outdoor theme of the card.
I thought it would be fun to create a Polaroid with the scene I was creating to make it look like a photo. The sentiment I used has a great handwritten look to it, so I thought it worked perfectly since it looks like it was written on the photo. I created the Polaroid by cutting down two pieces of cardstock to the right sizing and then I created my scene on the 3"x3" piece before adhering it to the background panel.
I stamped the tent image directly on the background scene once I had finished adding the inking for the sky and ground and then I stamped it a second time on white cardstock. I used my distress inks and ink blending tool once again to add colour to the tent and then I used my scissors to cut the image out along the inked edge. I adhered it directly over the stamped tent in the scene so you could still all of the tent strings and pegs.
I adhered all of the trees along the edge of the ground and overlapped then as I went to make it look like a full forest in the background of the scene. I also stamped some of the little bug images near the trees for some added detail. To complete the card I added clear glitter to the water and some of the trees with a Spectrum Noir clear glitter marker. I love how it makes it look like the sun is glistening off the water.
