Embossing a Gift Bag with Joni Andaya
Hello Everyone, welcome back to the 12th day of Gift Giving here at Waffle Flower Crafts. My project today is very simple to make: embossing a paper bag that I purchased from my local crafts store. I used Waffle Flower Crafts stamps and dies to make this project special.
I first stamped the paper bag with Versamark ink to prep for the white embossing powder using the
Tribal Thank You Stamp Set (tree). This will also look gorgeous with colored embossing powder.
Next, I poured the white embossing powder on the bag, then heat it with a heat gun.
Then I created a tag to go with my gift bag using
Flower Circle Die Set. I die-cut the flower die twice, one for the background for my tag and 2nd to create a window for my tag. I used pencil mark on the background as a guide to help me where to stamped the sentiment “a gift for you” from stamp set A Homemade Christmas. I then distressed both circles, window and background.
Next, I added some leaves on the tag from the
Holiday Labels - Give Thanks stamp set and die-cut using the
Holiday Label 1 Die. Then I added a hole on top of the tag using the tiny hole reinforce from
Surface Tag Die Started Kit.
To finish off the tag I added some gold sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and natural twine from May Arts.
