Rustic Gift Wraps with May Park
Hi, crafty friends, May here. Today I'm sharing some gift wrapping idea using products from Waffle Flower Crafts. Gift wrapping is one of my favorite parts of upcoming holidays. I love putting in the effort to make each gift something special for the recipient. I thought it might be fun to get a little more creative in my gift presentation this year. Then I decided to create my own wrapping papers and decorate my gifts using stamps and dies.
For my first project, I used the feather stamp from Feather More stamp set to create my own wrapping paper. You can choose the different sized feathers from the set, depending on how large wrapping paper you need. Then I dressed it up with some gold dipped feathers that I made using gold embossing powder and feather dies from Feather More die set.
This is a closer up of my embellishments. I love the woodsy, rustic, and organic look of my gift packaging. The partial embossed feathers give it a unique look, too. What do you think? It took me quite a while to make this. But I’m sure the person who will receive my gift will definitely like my extra effort.
For my second project, I stamped the leaf images from Give Thanks stamp set randomly on a piece of kraft paper. You could switch up the ink colors depending on what color wrapping paper you use. Or you could stamp the images in a different pattern, maybe lines or waves. This time I attached some die-cut leaves to add an extra autumn feeling.
I love how the irregularities in the stamping give it a faded, vintage look. This leaf patterned wrapping paper was the easiest to make and you can definitely make it by stamping the images with kids.
These are step-by-step instructions on how I put together my second project. 1)Stamp the leaf image from Give Thanks stamp set randomly over the entire piece of kraft wrapping paper with black ink. 2)Stamp another leaf image from the same set to fill in the gap. 3)Wrap up the gift in the leaf stamped wrapping paper. 4)Die cut two shapes of leaf image using dies from Give Thanks die set. Stamp the leaf images on the die cuts in different colors. 5)Die cut the tag from Surface-Tag Die-Starter Kit. Then stamp the sentiment from Give Thanks stamp set with black ink. 6)Tie the gift box with some ribbon and make a bow. Then top it off with a tag, button, twine, and twig.
Stamping on a wrapping paper is a great way to customize gifts for friends, family, and special occasions. It makes for a pretty adorable package in relatively little time. You can customize the wrapping paper with your loved one’s favorite color/image, too. Hope you love my gift wrapping projects that I shared today and get some inspiration.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy crafting!

I’ve seen many projects using feathers in gold on Pinterest. I’m happy I gave it a try to create my own. :)
