Gift Wrapping with Lorena Cantó
Hi everyone!
Lorena here to welcome you to Day 7 of Waffle Flower Crafts Twelve Days of Gift Giving! Hope you’ve enjoyed all the fantastic ideas that have been shared so far.
For today, I have two different projects to share: a Christmas gift box and a decorated mini bag that will be perfect for giving away year round. Let’s get started!

I die cut the box and the side panels with my Silhouette Cameo, but it’s a model simple enough to be easily found on stores like The Container Store, the dollar store, crafting stores and such. Just a plain square gift box.

And now comes the fun part: decorating it! On the panels I stamped the stars cluster from
Bowtiful stamp set in a light mint color and then went in with the holly image from
Holiday Labels: Merry stamp set. I wanted to stamp it in two colors, so I performed a little surgery to the stamp to separate the leaves from the berries. This really fastened the stamping a lot!

Next, I tied jute string around the box and finished it with a tag die cut from patterned paper with
Surface – Tag Die – Starter Kit and the rectangle from
Surface – Tag Die – Scallop Add on. The white embossed sentiment is from
A Homemade Christmas stamp set.

Oh, and as a final touch I added a star die cut from
Tiny Star die.

The second project is a mini bag embellished with a tag.
The round tag with those super cute debossed dots was die cut from
Flower Circles die set and layered on a bit of patterned paper. I’m a woman on a mission to stop hoarding pretty patterned paper…

The
Feathered More stamp set is perfect for personalizing gift tags! I used the “Friend” sentiment, but you also have Mom, Daughter, Sister, Son and Cousin.

I embellished the tag with the
Tiny Star die layered over the
Tiny Circle die and finished it with a couple enamel dots and twine.

There you go! Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you’ll be back tomorrow to find out what the amazing Katie Gehring has created!
