Snowman Gift Card Holder by Katie Gehring
Hello friends,
Katie Gehring here to share an idea for dressing up what’s become a go-to gift for our holiday celebrations- that’s right, the ever popular and practical gift card. I used the We R Memory Keepers envelope punch board and Waffle Flower stamps and dies to create a card perfect for gifting gift cards.
First, following the instructions on the punch board, I made a gift card sized envelope, but instead of having the flap open on the long side, I trimmed one of the "short side” flaps to create a pocket for the gift card. Next, I trimmed a strip of patterned paper and created a hat by die cutting and trimming the Santa’s beard die from the
Surface- Tag Die- Santa Add-on.
I added some fluffy trim to the snowman’s hat with the
Surface-Tag Die- Scallop Add-on and then stamped his face using dots from the
Holiday Labels- Merry stamp set and the
A Homemade Christmas stamp set. The small tree from the A Homemade Christmas stamp set also became the snowman’s nose.
I covered a white card base with a piece of gray card stock and stamped the small snowflake from the Holiday Labels- Merry stamp set to create a background. Next, I die-cut a circle from white card stock using the
Flower Circles Die Set and stamped one of the sentiments from A Homemade Christmas stamp set. I trimmed the edge of the circle and adhered it to the card and attached the snowman gift card pocket.
I just love how the gift card pokes out of the top of the snowman’s hat. I have a few co-workers and teachers in mind for this card at the holidays! Well, that’s all for me today, but be sure to stop back tomorrow for even more gift-giving inspiration!
