Hello everyone! We have our first guest blogger today!
's impeccable stamping skill and sophisticated use of color amazed us again! We also love that Chunyuan customized the sentiments on all of her cards for today! She's made the products seem even more versatile. Take it away, Chunyuan!
Watercoloring Stamped Cards
I just got a chance to play with some Waffle Flower stamp sets and dies. You might have already seen the new release on Nina's blog. These stamp sets are so incredibly versatile and fun!
I used the "JOY" ornament stamp from A Handmade Christmas Stamp Set
and had a fabulous time watercoloring.
I stamped the pattern and then colored free-form with my Inktense watercolor pencils to create the background. Then I cut out a small tag using Surface - Tag Die -Starter Kit
and stamped the sentiment. I used Be My Guest
alphabet set to create my own sentiment to fit the size and orientation of the tag. I just love, love this sketched font!!! You will see more of this stamp set on my blog soon (August 14th).
For my first card, I adhered a piece of washi tape to the bottom of the card base before adhering the watercolored panel.
I loved the watercolor effect on my first card so I decided to make another one. On the second card, I used some holiday themed patterned paper to mat the card panel.
And presto~ are the two cards together.
I stamped another background with the two gift stamps from A Handmade Christmas Stamp Set
and used the super duper cute Surface - Tag Die - Santa Add-on
to make another card. Usually my kids have full access to my craft space. But I hid this die, saving it to make the gift tags for their Christmas presents.
