The Waffle Flower Grip Mat is designed to gently hold your stencil and cardstock in place during stenciling and ink blending. When using cardstock alone, the smoother the paper, the better the grip. This mat reduces the need for taping significantly, allowing you to spend more time playing!

Made from high-quality photopolymer, stickiness is a natural property of the material. You can use this mat repeatedly without any adhesives or glue. Between uses, refresh the surface with a dampened, lint-free cloth. Peel the mat off the cardstock to minimize warping.


This 6.5x8.5 Grip Mat can be used in place of the black foam piece in the original size stamp positioning tool. Use the included printed Guide either below or above the mat to aid your placement when needed. To prevent any print transfer, always apply the Guide to the mat with the reversed side facing away from the mat.

If the mat loses its cling, clean it with water or photopolymer-safe cleaners. Rinse well under running water if using mild soap - do not leave it in the sink. Never use alcohol or other chemical-based cleaners. Return it to the transparent sheet for storage.

User experience may vary depending on the size, weight, and texture of the paper. Low spots and air bubbles are normal and should not affect the mat's ability to grip. Avoid contact with foiled images and fine glitters/powders. Avoid contact with sharp edges or abrasive materials. Wear and tear are expected with regular use.

Vital Tool!

This photo polymer mat has quickly become an indispensable item in my stash. It makes ink blending and stenciling so much easier. I now own 3 mats; one for my original MISTI, one for my mini MISTI, and one dedicated to blending or stenciling.

I love this grip mat!

I was at first hesitant to purchase a grip mat for my MISTI's; I have tape, I have magnets, why do I need another tool for it? But I gave in and I do not regret it!

Must have for your craft room

I actually ordered a second one. I use it in my Misti, on my work surface to stencil, hold tiny die cuts and gems so they don't roll everywhere. This is a must have item.

Grip Mat

I haven't played with it yet but from all I've seen it will be a valuable tool for my cardmaking and other projects. It was a great price point when I bought it. I would recommend it as everything I buy from Waffle Flower is always a "good buy".
