Welcome to Waffle Flower Monthly Challenges!

Fall Favorites!

For September, we challenge you to create a project using your fall favorites.  It could be cards, layouts or any paper crafting projects.

Our design team and guests take turns sharing their takes on the challenge each week and we encourage you to think outside the box! Maybe try something like:
- shaker cards
- fall color themes
- leaves
- use an iconic fall image for 3 or more times on a card.
- Halloween
- Fall drinks
- harvest time

This week's inspiration is brought to you by our design team member Arjita and her co-hosts Dana  and Nonnie!

Their twist is to make a project with a Halloween theme!

Design Team, Challenge Host (Blog, Instagram)
I used the Hocus Pocus stamp and die set to create the adorable Halloween theme card.I coloured the cute images with copic markers and then created a purple pink sky using the Waffle Flower blending brushes and a few inks. To add the clouds and grass I used the Keeway's Scene Building Stencils. I used the double sided foam tape to adhere the images on the scene and finished it with a cute sentiment.

My take on the challenge (Halloween) may look a little less spooky. I think sometimes having a softer color palette can really change the feel of a card. Since I’m so easy to scare LOL I use a lighter color palette to make my Halloween cards look sweet instead of spooky!

I brought Halloween feel to the Fall Dreams stamp by using popular Halloween colors purple and orange. Halloween is also such playful time for children (and childlike adults!) that creating a shaker card felt like the way to go! I’ve watercolored the images with distress inks.
